About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Thank You

Good Morning All

Hope you are all well, I,m still feeling a little yukky with this cold, but Heyho, thats life and it could be worse. It has gone quite cold here and besides the quilt I had to have a blanket last night too. I saw my neighbour yesterday and she was wearing one of these 'onzies' that are fashionable as she was so cold, personally, I think they are bloomin' awful.

I went to a local market yesterday morning without my coat, just a cardigan, and I was perished, so I quickly bought what I needed, mostly fruit and veg, and came home.  I had a lovely Saturday sorting the spare bedroom wardrobes out, swapping stuff over, looking through my craft stash etc etc.  Also I wrote some of my Christmas cards out, getting them ready to bring with me to the UK to post.  Just 3 weeks today and I will be on my way, I just hope my new Grandson has decided to make an appearance by then.  When they went to hospital on Wednesday, he did not want to make  his way out so  they left him alone for another week at least!!!

I  just found out this week that the fair has been cancelled on 30th Nov so I have a load of Christmas cards to get rid of plus other bits I have been making - boxes, wall hangers etc.  I,m quite annoyed  but there is nothing I can do about it, I will ring my charity ladies to see if they want  some more to sell.

Moving on, I want to thank you all for following my blog and welcome my new ladies too, so here is a little 'Thank You' card for you all.

I have been taking lessons from John Next Door on bow tying!!!
Cheery Lynn roses
Sentiment from Netty HERE
Swiss dots embossed card
Marianne Creatables  Ivy LR 0206
Nellies Multi Frame circle  MFD 030

Have a lovely Sunday

Hi Wendy. So sorry the Christmas Fair has been cancelled. I was looking forward to it and I know you've been working hard getting all your stuff together.

Lovely card. Beautiful bow and pretty flowers. After John's videos I reckon we're all excelling on our bows. I've also been making loads of flowers with the Bitty Blossom die you leant me.
Still not walking so well so it's a great thing to do with my sitting down time.

Stay warm.
Love Val x

Hi Wendy
Sorry you're still sniffling. Love todays card. Could you not do a stall on the local market to sell your bits. . . If you pardon the expression.
Take care
