About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Seam Binding for Crafty Ribbons

Good Morning All

My turn to post for Crafty Ribbons Design Team and I have made this lovely card featuring their Seam Binding.  There are so many colours to choose from HERE. I added some darker green Rik Rak from the store too.
I embossed a piece of green Ombre card with a folder from Crafters  Companion called Wishes
 (I think).
The club Groove plate from March and one of the Queen Border Grids to make the centre piece.

I love seam binding as it is so easy to tie into a nice bow and soooo many colours available.

Pop over to the Facebook page to enter the challenge.

Monochrome for MAWTT

Good Morning All
Moving Along With The Ties challenge is hosted by Penny from USA today.
She has chosen a theme of
Monochrome.

I bought this Groovi plate when Clarity had their members sale in in Feb/March thinking it would be suitable for 'Man' Cards.
I also bought the coloured parchment at the same time so when I saw this theme I thought it would be perfect.
I was going to colour the squirrel in but when you look closely at the lines there is no definitive line to end the colour.

Why not pop over to the challenge blog and see what Team A have been upto.

Clear out

Good Morning All

Busy day for  me today.
I have to pull my desk and storage units away from the windows in my craft room as I have a new window cleaner coming this afternoon.
I look forward to it really, because it makes me have a good clear up and sort out too.
I am determined to go through all my drawers and shelves and have a really good tidy out over the next few days
*****
Showing you three Groovi cards today as I am having a clear up in my photo file on my laptop too.
I love the first and the last one most but still enjoying doing them all.

OK, gotta go now and make a start as  I have to get cleared out then we are off clothes shopping at La Zenia boulevard, there is a Primark there and I have my birthday coming up next week!!!!

I stamped the sentiment and flowers with Stazon ink.
I used CE Gilding Polish  to colour the bottom mat in a Pearly shimmer.

There are LOTS of wonderful prizes this week including this laminator.

Here is a little PTC I made for the Groovi Swap group on Facebook.
The theme was BLUE and here is the link if anyone would like to take a peek at the others the group  have made.

This is the card I sent to my partner too.
I leave it general so they can re-use if they want to.
I added punched parchment flowers that I cut from my scraps.

Johns Spring Flower Stamps

Good Morning All

We took Rico to the vets yesterday to have him clipped.
His fur had got so long and it is getting very warm here now.
I dont think it will be long until we change his walking times.
In Summer John took him out for a quick walk around the block in the afternoons and then we took him out for a longer walk at night when it has cooled off abit.

                                       From this                                                                       to this

************************

Onto  a card I made yesterday.
I had been playing with Izinks before I went to UK so I used a  piece of that.
I used  Johns stamp set Spring Flowers
then matted it onto some Embossed card.

These are the gifts I gave out at Club on Friday.
Wardrobe hanger fragrances.

I made a thin box for them but left the hanger out  so that I could use A4 card stock.
I stuck pretty paper on the front and that was it.
There was a lovely smell when I opened the carrier bag at class.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
