Buttons Galore

Good Morning All

Hobbycutz challenge theme is 'Buttons Galore' chosen by Elaine.

I chose this little cutie from the sponsor All Dressed Up and she is called Fairy Magic.

Coloured with Promarkers.  Nearly everything I used was either given to me in candy or by Linda (Animal Aid)- the butterfly die cut, the paper and the starry ribbon.  The buttons were bought in The Range a while ago, a big bag of mixed colours and sizes.

Forever Baby

Good Morning All

A sad day today. Lee and Megans tiny doggy got run over yesterday morning and she is in bits. Anyone that has not had a pet will not understand the pain she is going through, I just feel so much for her.  She loved that tiny dog so much.  She was call Bambi and  was a long haired Chihuahua, so tiny and so cute.

The pain will get less as time goes by but that does not help at the time.

Todays card is a for a baby girl and back to Forever Friends.

It is from a pack, ages old too, but I do still love FF products.  This came with a tiny box to match, for a  gift or money.

These are quick, easy cards, but all help the charities here and most of mine go to Animal Aid which helps the dogs, mostly abandoned ones.

Golden Wedding

Good Morning All

I made this card for a commission and can show it to you now.

The ribbon was candy and perfect for this type of card, flowers Cheery Lynn and Sissix 'Iron Gate' die.

Johns family are coming out at the end of this week so busy getting all things clean and tidy.  So hot here now I dont think they will want to do too much other than stay by the pool, I hope anyway!!!!!

Good Bye John

Good Morning All

By the time you read this John Next Door will be well on his way, driving through Spain towards France, on his way to UK.  I will miss him so much but he has done it for good reasons and I,m sure doors will open for him in the crafting world.

This is the card I made for him.

The front is acetate and I stamped in the corner and heat embossed with gold.  Inside I put 'Bitty Blossoms' flowers made from book pages.
Heat embossed the sentiment and added Zva Creative swirl bling which I was lucky to win last month on their blog hop.

I,m not sure where the butterflies are from, they were with some blog candy.

I added one of my bead pins to the ribbon and gems to the butterflies.

This pic is without the acetate, as it always reflects when photographing.

White on White for Allsorts

Good Morning All

The Allsorts Challenge this week has been set by ME and I want to see your White on White creations.  The DT have come up with some stunners.
 I,m so looking forward to seeing these.  Here's mine.

I have used a Marianne Trellis die and a Chrysanthemum die. Hobby Art stamp for the sentiment.  Organza ribbon, twisted and stuck on with red double sided tape.  Swiss dots embossing folder.

Wedding Card

Good Morning All

Hope all is good in your part of the world.

I wanted to show this card I made for a lady at my Slimming Club.  Her friends daughter was getting married last Thursday, or rather, she was having the blessing here and getting married in the UK, and she wanted a special card making for her.

 She gave me the doves that are inside the bird cage, as they were being used for table decorations.  She wanted a bird cage on it and butterflies, and she had written a verse for the inside!!!!!  I did have to ask John Next Door for help with this one.  I dont have a bird cage die for a start and he does, luckily, he hadn't packed it!!!!!!  It is all Centura Pearl card and I put acetate on the front and domed it up, if you know what I mean.  That is why the light id reflecting on it, whichever way I tried to photograph it, it was the same.

I stamped the inside and brushed with pearlised chalk and sprayed with hairspray to hold it.




 And because I made it so high, I had to make an envelobox to put it in

This is the front of the box decorated with peeloffs and tied together with organza ribbon.

I will find out today if she liked it.

Colour Theme

Good Morning All

The Challenge this week at Moving Along With The Times is a colour theme set by Hazel, our lovely leader.

I chose to do a kids card as I hardly ever make these.  I used all different shades of blue and turquoise and the decoupaged image is stuck onto bright yellow card. I hope you will join in with this challenge.

Noahs Blanket

Good Morning All

I have made a lovely blanket for Noah to have on his cot.  Megan asked me to make one after seeing the one we made for Mum HERE.

She wanted Blues and white so I did blue and White and Grey.

I am very pleased with this, it looks better in real life than on the pics.

Just found out out they are expecting again, due March 2015, so happy for Lee, fingers crossed, he is so happy again after losing Lucas, these babies are so precious.

Oldie Friday

Good Morning All

Just been doing my blog hopping and visited Mrs Duck and Jacquie who participate in 'Oldie Friday' showing an older creation, so I thought I would show one too.

This dates back to January 2012 and was shown on my blog then.  I chose this one because of the bead decoration, similar to the one I made from the old necklace the other day.

Still passable I suppose, the image is a Gordiano rubber stamp from Joanna Sheen and was my first foray into Promarkers.

NO, NO, NO; I did not just buy envelopes.  I want to get into scrapbooking and when I was in the UK I took a USB stick with all the pics I wanted printing and took it to Asda.  So all the pics are ready so I HAD to buy 2 scrapbooks and some 12 x 12 papers and some holographic card and some fancy card and a corner stamp and some knitting wool to knit for grand kids, thats it honest.!!!!!

An Old Neckace

Good Morning All

Myself, John Next Door and Val from Spain are going to our local craft shop this morning.  Ollie is closing the shop and moving back to the UK and as she has not been able to sell her lease, she is selling everything off.  I really dont want to buy anything other than envelopes, I need some 7" square ones, so that when I make

  6 x 6 card and the embellishment go over the edges, I have an envelope to fit.

I wanted to show you what I made last night while I was a football widow!!!

I was given an old necklace so I chopped it up and made these.

There were very tiny beads, some pearly 4mm and some darker 6mm.  So I made a loads  of hat pins and some of these petal shapes.
John Next Door came up with the idea of making the petals into a big flower, which I do have plenty to do that, I will give it a go.

They are a dark burgundy colour and I even used the same wire that the necklace was made with.

So all these cost me afew pence that the pearly hat pins cost.

I couldn't wait to get on and  make a card with some, and, of course John had some too.

Summer Flowers

Good Morning All

This morning is the start of  a new challenge at Ladybug Crafts and Samantha has chosen a theme of 'Summer Flowers' so this opens the floodgates for us flower lovers.

A very CAS card for me, the circle die is borrowed from John next Door who will be next door no more soon,  he is moving back to the UK this month, Boohoo.

There are punched flowers from handmade paper and some bought ones from Ebay.  Paper was a magazine freebie and punched butterflies from offcuts of Dufex decoupage sheets.
