 Good Morning All

It is My Time To Craft Challenge today and the theme is

Use Dies.

I have made a couple of cards.

This one is the negative from a Brick wall die and I stamped the image  on the card underneath.

This one is two  emboss folders of Spotty Dots.

CE California Collection  - Hollywood die and a CE Sentiment die.

A Stamped Image for Allsorts

 Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge time again and Helene has chosen a theme of

Use a Stamped Image

I used Johns Camelia Ring Elements stamp from back when he was with Creative Expressions.

I inked the backgrounds of both cards with Distress Oxides, I am still playing with these so there are a couple of strategically placed butterflies!!!

I think the next one is a Lavinia Stamp, not sure as it was given to me.

Both fairly simple card but pretty.

Clearing the Files

 Good Morning All

I have had these stamped images in my stash for a while, they are from Creative Expressions.

I just added abit of colour on the leaves, very simple.

Added punched flowers and butterflies and there is two nice cards for the box.

They are both DL which I very seldom make but I do have afew card blanks in my stash so they need using.

My back is easing abit, just still bad in the morning but gets better as the day goes on.

Blue Bingo for Allsorts

Good Morning All

Allsorts challenge this time is going to run for 2 weeks over the Christmas period.

Brenda has chosen a Blue Bingo for this one.

I decided to use the bottom line.

Masking using Texture paste through a mask

Dry Embossing - CE Wild Roses Emboss Folder

Blue and Purple - Purple mat and ribbon and Blue distress ink around edges.

(I'm afraid this all looks blue but I assure you that it is purple too.

I tried to photoshop it to alter the colour but not too sure so left both on. LOL

This is the inside using the leftover scraps.

Good Morning All

I,m trying to empty my file of photos and start  fresh in the New Year.

So this is from earlier this year.

Creative Expressions Bevelled Glass Striplet cut twice.

Mounted onto black card.

Satin flowers and a bow and gem.

Simples.

Quite afew at craft class commented on my hearts card I showed the other day.

Isn't it funny, I didn't really like and so many did.

Good Morning All

I stamped the image which I think is one of John Lockwoods.
Heat embossed then coloured with Mica paints.

I used Johns idea with the tin foil glued to card then ran through in an embossing folder.

Today is John Lockwoods Birthday and this is the card I posted to him.

Not too fussy.

I used a vellum sentiment fastened on with brads.

For a Friend

Good Morning All

My best friend is having an op today to remove a lump from her breast.

She has been so upbeat about all this, since finding the lump in early summer,  until the surgeon described what would happen today.

I wish I could be with her.

We have been friends for  nearly 50 years, from starting secondary school.

She loves her garden so I used bright sunflowers to try and cheer her up.

Mostly Blue for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All

Craft Rocket challenge today is Mostly Blue.

I made this card for a friend to give to  her  Mum on her  80th Birthday back in June.

I made a frame with the CE Pierced squares and wrapped satin ribbon around it.

The centre paper is one of Johns.

Sue Wilson Hollywood from California Collection coloured with Gilding Polish.

Mosaic Leaves and satin roses.

The sentiment is stamped from one of Johns flag set that match the Pierced Flag die set.

Jacky also want an A4 envelope decorating as she has some papers and photographs she wanted to give to her Mum as it was a special birthday for her.

She loved it and I did too, very pleased with them both.

Mrs Duck has chosen the theme for this times Moving Along With The Times Challenge.

Wow, does she set a challenge!!!!
But there is lots in there that can be used, Butterflies, perfect.

 The challenge theme is to include anything from the first verse of Dana's All Kinds of Everything from the 1970 Eurovision Song Contest

More than 2 die for Allsorts

Good Morning All

I,m hosting the challenge this week at Allsorts and I want to see at least two or more diecuts on your wonderful creations.

As we are sponsored by Sissix I used their Iron Gate Die, one of my faves.

Did you see John Next Door demoing this technique on Hochanda back in April.

He glued tin foil to card then ran it through an embossing folder.

If I remember correctly, he inked his but I used Gilding Polish on CE Wild Roses Folder. 

Cut the Iron Gate die in white card.

I made a frame with the pierced rectangles.

Added some satin flower and mosaic leaves.

Get Well sentiment in the bottom corner with two gems. Fine plaited leather down each side.
