Good Morning All

This is my 3rd Junk Journal, you can see the 1st HERE and 2nd HERE.

I coffee dyed some A4 papers for this one.

Now this is all made from bits of scraps.

Paper bags.

Tags that were gifted to me in a swap.

Papers given to me by Lyn in my craft club.

The danglers on the spine are from my curtain tiebacks that fell to bits!!!!

Trying to find a video, takes too long to load, sorry.

Jigsaw Embellishments

Good Morning All

Just a quick post this morning as Hollie and family arrived on Friday night so Busy, busy, busy.

I made afew of these embellishments to adorn cards or to sell in packs at Christmas Fayre in November.

It is a great way of using little scraps up from my desk.  Any odd gems or pieces of die cuts.

I bought the jigsaw a while ago from charity shop and painted each piece

I made a card using one HERE.

Also, the black gem on the top one is imperfect so hid part of it with a butterfly!!!

Good fun and something abit different.

Flower Power for Allsorts

Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge this week is a nice easy one - Flower Power.

I used some flowers I had in my stash to decorate two Pin cushions.

I bought afew  boxes with pins inside from local China shop, I thought they were too nice to throw out so decorated them up after stuffing the top to make into a pin cushion.

I used paper flowers and organza ones to decorate.

Hand crochet doily on the top of each.

They go to the local bar to sell for charity.

This is how it started off with a little sponge stuck on top.

We have a prize from our sponsor - Tattered Lace.

Hollies Hair Slide

Good Morning All

I was asked by a friend if I would show on my blog, the items I put on my Crafty Page on Facebook, as she doesn't do FB.

So, in future, I shall post on here, whatever I post on there.

But here is one item I have show in the past over there and as Hollie is arriving tonight, I thought it would be appropriate.

A hair slide I have made for her, featuring a pearl gem that I make.

I,m sure it will look lovely in her long curly hair, I shall show a pic next week.

Also I just thought I would show you this Fabric Book.

It includes all the embellishments as seen.

All ready for them arriving tonight, fans in bedrooms, travel cot up, paddling pool ready for Ricky to blow up, parasols ready, suncream bought but still need to buy swimming nappies.

I think it was the year before last that some visitors on the block had a small child and she pooped in the pool, we had to close the pool for 4 days while the pool man treated it with chemicals etc.

So annoying so will not let that happen by my lot.

English Country Garden for MAWTT

Good Morning All

I,m like a kid waiting for Christmas, Hollie, Tess, Rick and Lorien arrive tomorrow night. They land about 10pm, so it will be two tired little girls I think.
We skyped last night and Hollie asked if we could craft every day!!!!!!

MAWTT challenge time again and it is hosted by our lovely Ang, aka Mrs Duck.

The theme she has chosen is English Country Garden.

Once again I had to go to my LOTV Toppers, they never fail to let me down, there is always something to fit the theme.
This, I thought, was very typically English Country Garden - Having a afternoon tea in the garden (when weather  allows!!!) which I think it does at present, although abit hot here for sitting out, only in the shade, by the pool with a large B & C in hand!!!!!

I used a negative from S/B Scalloped Ornate Ovals to frame the topper.

Inked with CE Frosty Blossom Colour Cloud.

All mounted onto a piece of Hunkydory card.
And, of course, a couple of my tiny butterflies!!!

Glitter Butterfly

I bought this die from China and thought it was so pretty.

I mounted it onto glitter card with some glittery butterflies.

Foamiran at Craft Club

Good Morning All

As you know, I run a Craft Club at a local bar for my crafty friends to chat and craft.

I ordered some Silk Foamiran for them all to  have a go at making flowers.

These are the results, I think they all did very well for their first attempts.

It was the quietest we have been, all concentrating. 

This was my first attempt using Foamiran, it is abit thicker than the silk one.

I much prefer the silk one, as you dont have to use an iron to warm it, abit more delicate though.

These are mine, how can you tell I love lilac!!!

I love how these flowers look, shading them with inks is so effective.

Glitter Kiss

Good Morning All

This was my first attempt at using CE Glitter Kiss, not perfect but I was pleased with the outcome.

The card was sent to a friend for her Birthday.

I used one of John Next Door Circle Sentiment Stamps, love these.

The stamps fit perfectly on CE Pierced Circle dies.

Very pleased with this card, hope you like it too.

Pin Cushion

Good Morning All

A little late today as I dont usually post 2 days on  the run but I have shared this pin cushion on my Facebook page so I thought I would add on here too.

I had a project in mind but needed alot of straight pins. I bought quite afew of these boxes  of them in the local China shop.
The project did not work out by the  way LOL.

Too good to throw out so decided to decorate them in a Shabby chic style.

It is about 3" in diameter.

This is how it turned out, not too fussy. Just lace trim on the sides and a small doily on top after stuffing. A lace bow with a pearl gem.

I have done some more but they are for a DT blog so you will have to wait to see those.

So that is a little inspiration for you and dont throw things out, you may be able to decorate.

I have already sold this and another one like it, so more shopping for the village charity this week.

Mica Flakes

Good Morning All

When I was in UK in May, I treated myself to afew crafty bits!!!!!

One of them was Mica Flakes, I had seen John Next Door using it ages ago and thought I needed some!!!!

Getting very hot here now.
I have had to bring the fan int my craft room and stay out of there until the afternoon when the sun has moved around to the side of the building.

Otherwise, I just have to sit in living room under the ceiling fan and make MORE Embellishments.!!!!!!

Waterfall Card

Good Morning All

I bought a set of Waterfall cards bases from Create & craft years ago and still have quite afew of them.

One of my ladies at my craft club wanted to make something different so I took the box along for her to play with.

This is one I made, very basic but pretty.

I think the papers are from C&C too.

You may have noticed that nearly everything I make at present has tiny butterflies on LOL.

2 or more dies for Allsorts

Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge this week is hosted by Tracy Mouse.

I used S/B Labels 4.

Marianne (our Sponsor for this one) LR 0110 for flowers.

The flowers are cut from Foamiran, mine aren't as good as some I have seen though.

My sister Carol, loves her garden and she has about 5 bird tables so I thought this image was perfect for her card, although her Birthday is not until October, I am well prepared !!!

Embossing for MAWTT

Good Morning All

Moving Along With The Times is hosted by our lovely Sue B.

She would like to see embossing on your creation, either wet or dry.

I went with an embossing folder I got free on a magazine and made a baby card, I dont seem to make many of these.

I used a Pram die from  China and one of my homemade Embellishment bows
(available HERE on my Facebook Group)

The pram die, I cut in silver and pink and glued onto the embossed card which I have inked at the edges.

I cut the Banner die twice too and shadowed it.

Seville Pics

Good Morning All

Here are afew pics of Seville.

We stayed in an apartment in the old city, very central for everything we wanted to see.

Very hot though, I dont think I would like to go any later in the year.

My first view of the cathedral, just 1 minute from our door.

Horse drawn carts around the old city

We had to have a ride along the Guadalquivir river, a little cooler there.

 I remember this place from the first time I visited Seville years ago.

The Plaze de España.

An amazing building, some of it is now used for Council offices.

The Cathedral of St. Mary.

And finally, the Metropol Parasol know as The Mushrooms, all made from wood I believe.
