AG for Crafty Ribbons

 Good Morning All

It is my turn to post for Crafty Ribbons today and it is 

Anything Goes

I saw a video on You Tube by Natasia at Treasure Books showing how to make these lovely books from 1 sheet of 12x12 card.  And as I have loads of 12x12's I got to work.

I have uploaded a video to show my take on them too.

All the ribbon used is from Crafty Ribbons store.

The card I used was all double sided which is obviously better.

I decorated with embellishments form Gi (Happiness in Crafting), some words from Vectoria Designs and scraps from my box.

All the ribbon is Grosgrain Dotty ribbon HERE

This one is a prize for the raffle at my next Junk Journal class.

I added a mini envelope on the front and included some 'words' for the winner to use in their own JJ's.

Inside and I punched the corners of this one, the others I just rounded.

I added some of the embellishments to odd pages inside too, but not in the centre so that the pages can be used for photos or journalling.

A can tab with a gem and seam binding added for decoration.

I am very happy with these and shall be making more as gifts and swaps.

Merry Christmas & unfinished project

 Good Morning All

Over on Facebook, Tracie Fox set a challenge at the weekend which was to finish an unfinished project.

I made this envelope folio years ago and I dont particularly like it and it never got finished.

This sheet of toppers was in the drawer with it so I cut them all out and made some into tags.

Then I went on and decorated some of the pages with lace and trim and butterflies.

And this is how it ended up.

So much nicer dont you think??

Happy Sunday Challenge

                                        Good Morning All

Well as the big day gets nearer, I wished all my Craft Club ladies a very 

Merry Christmas 

as we wont meet again until the New Year.

I  set them  the challenge of another sketch.

Sparkle & Shine for Allsorts

 Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge today is hosted by Kath and we have a Voucher for Stamp Addicts for our winner.

The theme is 

Sparkle & Shine

I made this card using a Poppet from Clarity which I coloured with Polychromos.

I added sparkle  glitter to the fur and then added gems for even more sparkle.

I admit, I was using some scraps of card for the background, but, you know me, try not to waste anything.

As I have  made all my  Christmas cards,  I thought I would make it into a Birthday card for my friend.

Stamp Addicts is a family run business based in Bedfordshire and have been in business since 1992. We have watched the popularity of rubber stamping and all papercrafts steadily increase over time and now manufacture our own branded rubber stamps which frequently feature on Hochanda TV as well as craft shows across the UK.

Double Tag in a pocket

 Good Morning All

I held another Junk Journal class last week and this was the project I had the ladies making.

It is a double Tag pocket with a pocket.

I inserted two smaller tags in the pocket on the front made from parchment.

This is the double folded tag.  I only decorated the front and left the inside and the back free for journalling.

The ladies had a really good time and want to do another class in the new year.

AG for Crafty Ribbons

 Good Morning All

Anything Goes for Crafty Ribbons today.

I was decorating pages in my current Junk Journal and I thought they were lacking something so I added some Grosgrain Ribbon from the Crafty Ribbons collection of many.

This is a Summer page and this picture from a magazine reminded me of when the kids were here last summer and eating water melon by the pool.

I added a lovely wide piece of Cherry ribbon at the bottom.

Then decided to add a small journaling fold out to cover the print on the page.

The next one was a Winter page and whenever I see a good quote I print it out and add.

This one is very apt  and I thought yummy cake is a nice comfort food.

Then the last one I just added snips of dotty ribbon to the corners to add abit of extra interest.
