Dies Challenge Day 22 & JND Advent Pop Box

Good Morning All

I love this box die from John.

It is a good size and you can decorate to your hearts content.

I did mine very quickly and just used afew of the dies that are included.

See the pic below to see how many dies you get in the box.

I used sturdy white card and the coloured card is some I bought whilst in New Zealand in 2007.
It is Paua Shell card, which is a shell native to New Zealand.
Very beautiful and they make jewelery from it.

You could even decorate the inside to make it really special.

This is the die, well worth buying if you can get hold of it.

These are all the extra dies you get aswell as the box die, obviously.

Die Challenge Day 21 & Card Making Magic Box & Trellis

Good Morning All

Card Making Magic is the order of the post today.

I love anything Trellis and this die from Christina is perfect for either a card or a box.

I made the box using another of Christina's dies and you get some lovely dies included that can be used for embellishing like these  delicate leaf sprigs which I coloured pink.

I found two vibrant pink flowers in my stash.

This is the box empty.

Here is the box with my card inside.

You can see the swirls abit more on this picture, they are included with the box die too.

This is the card which is 5x7 as that is the size of the box. I embossed a piece of silver mirri card with a folder from  Crafts Too.

The die is from Creative Expressions, as is the Flowers die, Perfect Peony.

The Happy Birthday is again included with Christina's Box die set.

I cut it twice and lightly highlighted one with pink ink.

Anything Goes for Crafty Ribbons

Good Morning All

It is my turn to post for Crafty Ribbons today and I made a card to be given to someone who has lost their dog.

I used Seam Binding and some cute buttons from Crafty Ribbons.

There are loads of different types of buttons to fit all themes on their website.

I love these paw and bone ones.

The doggy topper is from LOTV.

Dies Challenge Day 20 & Jnl Pages 8 and 8A

Good Morning All

A Journal Page for my Dies challenge today and this is pages  8 and 8A

These are both Creative Expressions Dies by Sue Wilson.

I stuck down at the sides to make a pocket for a journal card. I also used the  smaller of the dies stuck halfway down to make a little tuck spot for an envelope made from a book page.

I make little tiny journal books from scraps of papers and I tuck one in the envelopes.

The next page is exactly the same with a different die.

Dies Challenge Day 19 & Emboss Folder, Sketch, Happy Sunday

Good Morning All

It was lovely to get back to Craft Club on Friday.

Some of us did meet up last week just for a natter but it was lovely to see everyone crafting again.
Our best wishes go to one of my ladies, Pat, she had a pacemaker fitted  while we were off.
So wish her a speedy recovery.

Todays post is for a sketch challenge I set my ladies at Club on Friday.

It has a die on  that I have used before, Creative Expressions Pierced Ovals.

So this post is for my Embossing Folder, as I am challenging myself to use all these too.

I have used a stamp that John demoed on Hochanda from Two Jays.

I bought two and I thought this one would be great for Sympathy cards.

I  coloured it the way John did, with inks.

The Emboss Folder is from Craftwell and the striped ribbon is some I bought at Ally Pally when I helped John afew years ago

I rubbed some Mica Magics on the emboss folder to colour a little bit and give it abit of a sheen.

I tied the sentiment tag in with Organza ribbon.

The gifts I gave out  were notepads to start the New Year.

I made a little folder for each one tied with ribbon and a little tuck pocket inside the front.

Handy to keep in our handbags, I know Val J uses one all the time.

Die Challenge Day 18 & Take Flight for Allsorts

Good Morning All

Tracy has chosen the theme this week for Allsorts Challenge.

I went Pink with this one.

I have had this die cut on my desk for ages, it is a Marianne cut and Emboss die, but I had cut it from card that I didn't like the colour of so I coloured it over with Johns Mica Magics, love these.

I bought this linen look card from my local craft shop.

Cut some butterflies and punched the corners.

All the dies are listed below as part of my challenge.

Dies Challenge Day 17 - JND Christmas Sentiments

Good Morning All

One thing about this Dies Challenge I am doing is that I am making quite afew Christmas cards.

These are using two of Johns Sentiments and Snowflake sets.

On this one the papers are from DOcrafts, topper from LOTV

This set from John has three sentiments in and they are all attached to a snowflake - so pretty.

I added afew gems to this one.

This is a Groovi Christmas tree and I added green glitter to parts of it to match the backing card.

 This set of Johns comes with separate snowflakes and just one sentiment of

Happy Christmas.

 This is another LOTV topper backed onto freebie papers from Making Cards magazine

Die Challenge Day 16 - Journal Page 7

Good Morning All

Another Double Journal Page to show you today featuring 2 sets of tag  dies from Spellbinders.

I only stuck them down at the ends to create tuck spots within each tag.

I found some words in my Journal stash and stuck them on the top, inked all the edges and threaded ribbon through the ribbon tags and twine in the holes of the Grommet set.

Dies Challenge Day 15 & Loriens Birthday card

Good Morning All

Today is  Loriens Birthday and this is the card I made for her.

I used quite afew dies sets on this one.

I dont know where this image is from but I found it when I was having a clear out last year,

it was pre-coloured though.

I cut it out using   Spellbinders Labels 4  and added it to a mirri card mat, all stuck onto a large circle.

Hearts for Crafty Ribbons

Good Morning All

Crafty Ribbons are promoting Hearts today, so here is my make featuring narrow Grosgrain Heart  ribbon.
I found these little offcuts in my ribbon box.
The colours aren't very good on this pic but the backing paper is green and from Phill Martin.
I used a corner punch and added pearls to the centres on all the mats.
I tucked the ribbon under a hand crochet flower and added my sentiment tag on top of it.

No dies used on this one so a day off my challenge!!!

A pretty in pink card today  featuring 2 dies.

The paper is from a pad from Joanna Sheen.

All my sentiment tags are made using X Cuts tag dies  so I dont list them every time I used  one.

I tucked the sentiment under a homemade bow.

Good Morning All

As the Craft Shop is still closed until today, there was no Craft Club on Friday so I will continue with my Die Challenge.

I have Journal Page 6 to show you today, a double page featuring 2 die sets, one Creative Expressions and one Spellbinders.

The page on the left is using S/B Mega Scalloped Ovals, stuck down top and bottom to make a double  tuck spot.

For this page I made a double pocket from a book page.

Cut two tags from the CE Tags set.

I used Wild Rose digi from Beccys place and coloured it with my Perga Aqua pencils.
Mounted it onto a Sue Wilson Die and added an offcut of flowered paper to the side.
