Christmas is Coming for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All

Craft Rocket Challenge this time is

Christmas is Coming.

I bought JND's Poinsettias dies and the Christmas Snowflake Sentiment die set when they were released.

I cut the poinsettias from glitter foam in silver and red.

The paper is from an old Making Cards Mag.

I thought it needed something else in the top corner and as I didn't have my Christmas box out when I made this card, I didn't have all my supplies, but I had just bought these Christmas tree buttons.

This is my last card for Craft Rocket as I have decided to step down from the Design Team.
Had a great time with them and been with them for afew years.

Autumn or Halloween for Craft Rockeet

Good Morning All

Craft Rocket Challenge is Autumn or Halloween this time.

Now I dont do Halloween so it is Autumn, the last of quite afew over the last few weeks.

I stamped  some JND Winter Stamps from last year onto 3 pierced ovals.

I coloured each one in an Autumn shade using Tim Holtz mini ink pads.
Embossed the card with CE Mosaic leaves folder.

We get home from Alicante today.
Will add afew pics tomorrow.

Men or Boys for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All

Craft Rocket challenge this time is

Men / Boys

Now I think most of us find these type of cards harder to make, or at least not quite as enjoyable.

I know I do.

I cut a piece of paper from LOTV 'Father Knows Best' pad and cut a slit in the top corner to hold the LOTV topper.

I added some buttons from Crafty Ribbons

A charm with 'Dream written on it, tied with seam binding from Crafty Ribbons

Anything Goes for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All

Craft Rocket Challenge this month is a nice and easy Anything Goes.

As you know, I love my Groovi and I am particularly happy with how this one turned out.

Love the grid work on the edges.
I am trying to get to grips with more delicate grid work and bord
ers.

I embossed the sentiment

'Just For You'

The colouring looks good too.

Summer for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All

Craft Rocket Challenge time again and the theme is 'Summer'

I used this sweet image from Crafters Companion.

Afew weeks ago I was making some background papers with Pixie powders.

John Next Door always uses his kitchen paper that he mops up with, to make another background.

I used mine on acetate with cosmic Shimmer glue and glitter.

I thought it might look abit like sand as the topper is a beach scene.

I think we all went crabbing when we were little.

Flowers for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All

Last month when I was in UK I bought JND Gerbera die and stamps from the Ducks Doodahs, 

(very quick delivery)

As I was playing with them when I got home, I thought this card was perfect for this challenge at Craft Rocket - Flowers.

I matted the negative from the die cutting onto an ombre green card.

Added large gems to the centres and used 4 of the die cuts, made into 2 flowers.

I added ribbon across the corners to hide the black ink.

(This is to line the die with the stamped images correctly.)

I added a Mothers Day sentiment as it was approaching the day at the time I made the card!!!

Added one of my dangle stick pins to the bottom bow.

Something New for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All

My first post today is for Craft Rocket Challenge.

The theme is 

Something New.

One of my ladies at my craft club gave me some Katy Sue Prints and they are gorgeous.

So this is my New.

This is one of them, a Christmas one!!!

It was an oval shape so I mounted it onto CE Pierced Noble oval of kraft card.

One of my homemade bows in brown to match the Kraft card.

Birthday or Pretty Pink for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All

Craft Rocket Challenge  time again and this month it is

Happy Birthday or Pretty Pinks.

I went with Pinks.

I had this heart negative on my desk so decided to use it and I had just taken delivery of a Joanna Sheen Signature die - this little heart, which I cut twice in the same pink card.

I used Glitter Polish for the edges of card underneath.

Animal Kingdom for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All

Craft Rocket Challenge is my first post this morning and the theme is Animal Kingdom.

Way back in May when we went to Seville, I took some decoupage with me to cut out while we were in the apartment, keeping cool!!!!

I thought Hugs & Kisses sentiment went quite well as you should always kiss a frog!!!!!!

Anything Goes for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All

Craft Rocket Challenge this month is Anything Goes.

So I made one of my favourite styles, a Box Card.

I did it all in white, vellum flowers with white pearl centres.

The flowers are cut using Creative Expressions Perfect Peony die.
Large pearls from China shop.

This went on sale in the local bar so I left the sentiment as

'Your Special Day'

so it can be used as a Wedding, or Anniversary or even Engagement.

Visit went well, tiring and busy but those to little girls are such a joy.

Man or Boy for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All

Craft Rocket Challenge this month, as we are now a monthly challenge, is Man or Boy.

As I dont make many childrens cards I thought I would make one.

I used a new Teddy die I bought, cut it from double sided sticky sheet and glittered with black glitter.

I kept it very plain really, it is matted onto embossed card.

We do have a sponsor for this challenge - Fabrika Fantasy.

Fantasy for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All

Craft Rocket Challenge this month is 

FANTASY

I decided to Make Hollies Birthday Card, which is not until July but I like to be well prepared!!!

I used an LOTV Topper from a load I bought along with my craft friend Val.

Everything else is from stash.

They are coming for a visit at end of June, cant wait.  It will be Tess's first visit here and it will be hot, I hope they can manage, may have to get extra fans for bedrooms.

Book or Movie for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All

Craft Rocket challenge is Book or Movie Inspired.

One of the first pictures I went to the picture house to watch with my Mum was Mary Poppins.When I saw this topper from LOTV, that was in the collection that a friend gave me, I saw the lady feeding the birds and singing 'Tuppence, Tuppence, Tuppence a Bag.

So cute.

I have not added a sentiment yet, it was in a Christmas collection but not sure yet if it will be a Christmas card.

Had a lovely day with Val yesterday but we were both abit dissappointed in Elda.
It is a 'shoe making' town and the Museum was very interesting, then we looked around the shops and ended up in a China store and bought afew (essential) craft items.
All the shoes we looked at were very very nice but very expensive.
Then we sat in a Plaza and passed the time talking and drinking until it was time for the coach back.
Then back to Catorce for an evening meal.
Back home and spoke to John Next Door on Skype and stroked the TV controls LOL while making ribbon flowers with my new ribbon.

No Patterned Paper for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All

Craft Rocket challenge this time is to not use any patterned papers.

So I used more Pixie Powder backgrounds.

The colours used on the Pierced Square background are

Midnight Blue, Aqua Teal and Rich Gold.

Then I coloured a piece of card with Ocean Teal Gilding Polish and cut with 

CE New Zealand - Wellington die.

Then the centre is matted onto a piece of acetate and Pixie Powders with tissue paper and glitter technique.
