Arabella's Birthday card

 Good Morning All

This is the card I made for one of my Granddaughter's birthday a couple of weeks ago.

I do like these box cards, so effective.

Arabella was 6, hence the foam '6' on the front panel.

I hope she received it ok, you never know the way the postal service is these days.

Concertina Box Cards

Good Morning All

I have made Concertina Box cards for all my Grandkids.

I have used all bits from my stash and added a little sentiment tag with their name on, on the front.

They open into this and will stand up too.

The front and the back are glued into the lid and the base.

It is a great way of using the smaller images  too.

I have  made little envelopes to go inside and I will add  money too.

 Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge this time is hosted by Mervi and her theme is

Anything Goes with option of Roses

I made this lovely shaped card which folds flat for posting.

It came about because a friend of mine hosts a card class at the craft shop and she comes up with some amazing cards. She made this one and left it in the shop and one of my craft group liked it and asked me if I could make one and show them how to make it.

So off I trotted to You Tube and found a fab tutorial HERE

This is my version and I did use some papers that had Roses on too.

I'm really pleased with it and it is very easy too.

This is the 1st one I made to try out the design.

Box Cards

Good Morning All

Whenever I am asked to make a card for someone, I tend to go for Box cards, as they are a Wow card I think.

Here are three I have made in the past few weeks.

I enjoy making them too which is a bonus and I can use lots of flowers.

The last one I did make a box for too as it was quite sticky uppy.

Perfect Pairs for Allsorts

Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge  this week is chosen by our Team leader, Brenda

Perfect Pairs

So she wants to see a card matched to a tag or a Box.

As I was asked a good while ago to make a wedding card for an English couple but she wanted the wording in Spanish.

So I made a box card, as these are very effective, and I made a box for it to go into and decorated it.

Here is the box card which say 'Congratulations on Your Wedding'

She did not want any colour on the card other than white and silver or gold.

So I added a little colour to the box in the form of ribbon and flowers.

I like making Wedding cards as you can go OTT with embellishments as mre often than not, people do keep them, I still have mine in a box somewhere!!

Pretty Pink Box Card

Good Morning All

I was asked to make this style of card by one of the couples we went away at New Year with.

I had previously made one for Liz and she liked it so much, she asked me to make one for her Auntie Beffy's 90th Birthday.

I used lots of pinks, well, who doesn't like pink??

Groovi butterfly and dragonflies.

Added lots of tiny parchment flowers to the left and right flaps.

Liz was very happy with it and it taking it to Canada next month for her Aunties birthday and a surprise party for her too.

Well my John is still laid up with flu, keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get it and keep on taking my Vitamin C.

Baby Boy Card

Good Morning All

I was asked to make a card for a new Baby Boy.

As this style of box card are popular and, I think, quite easy to make.

                                             I think the feathers fill the space out quite well.
                                            Most of these embellishments and shapes, I have had for ages.

Andrew and Mandy were more than happy with it.

I have made this style of card before and really enjoy doing it.

Great way to include a gift with a card.

The image and the sentiment are both recycled from Christmas cards.

I did splatters with white Gesso to, hopefully, look like snow.

Here is another one of the same style, again using a recycled Cristmas card.

A large heart button with seam binding threaded through.

A beautiful stick pin gifted to me in a swap.

Trimmed off with an MDF embellishment with lace.

Fancy Folds for Allsorts

Good Morning All

The theme this week is Fancy Folds for Allsorts Challenge.

I saw this on You Tube, numerous videos for this design.

An Easel card with 4 drawers underneath.
The ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons bargain bag of offcuts.

This was actually my practice one but it turned out fine so it is going in my Christmas box.

It will be filled with goodies for a gift for someone.

I cant wait to see everyone's creations for this theme.

Box Card

Good Morning All

Just clearing out my photo file for 2017 so this is my final box card.

People do like this style of card, they are very effective.

The flowers are cut from Centura Pearl paper using CE Perfect Peony die.

Starting t feel back t normal now after a horrible tummy bug.

Hope you are all well and looking forward to New Year.

I was abit worried I wasn't going to make it to Sella, but, touch wood.

Anything Goes for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All

Craft Rocket Challenge this month is Anything Goes.

So I made one of my favourite styles, a Box Card.

I did it all in white, vellum flowers with white pearl centres.

The flowers are cut using Creative Expressions Perfect Peony die.
Large pearls from China shop.

This went on sale in the local bar so I left the sentiment as

'Your Special Day'

so it can be used as a Wedding, or Anniversary or even Engagement.


   

Back later with another DT card.

Visit went well, tiring and busy but those to little girls are such a joy.

Anniversary Box Card

Good Morning All

One of my new ladies at my craft club asked me to make a special card for her to give some friends.

This lady, Denise, has never crafted before she came to our club and the first thing I showed  her was  how to make was this style of box card, as they are so impressive.

She was hooked and now comes along every week and is very quiet as she beavers away, learning about die cutting and embossing.

She did not feel that she was upto  the skill level to do  a card for her friends yet, but she soon will be, I'm sure.

This is the card I made for her to give.

All the embellishments are hand made -

Bows, Pearls with diamonte surround, Ribbon Flowers on the sides.

I adore the vellum flowers with large pearl centres, so pretty.

I added 'Congratulations' Ribbon around the box

and that is the only colour there is.

She was very pleased with it.
