About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Afew pics from UK visit

Good Morning All
Here are afew pics from my visit to UK.
First stop was in North West.

4 generations - Mum, me, my son and my grandaughter

Noah and Aurora love playing in my sisters garden, bubbles and water balloons.

************
Next stop was Leicester.

I went out for lunch with John Next Door, Mrs Duck (Ang) and one of their friends.

Now he is having a well earned break in Greece, he wasn't booked on Monarch, thank goodness!!!!

Then these are some miniature plants that a lady made for John and Ang.
I couldn't resist showing you these, they are amazing.
She makes all parts of them and the tiny flowers and leaves are paper.
Very intricate work.

Then last stop was Corby where I met up with a lovely lady from  my swap group on Facebook.
We met up for a cuppa and a swap.

Then finally, Hollie and Tess.
Hollie had a school assembly where they had to dress up as a favourite character and sing!!!

Then this little cutie has just started walking and learning to talk, so funny.

A most pleasurable trip and today I am taking some friends to Quesada to pick up a coach for their cruise.
Then John and I are going out for a walk.
THEN I can get in my craft room and play with all my new goodies!!!!!!

New Beginnings for Allsorts

Good Morning All
Allsorts Challenge this week is
New Beginnings hosted by Tracy.
I decided a new term at school was a New Beginning so I made Hollie a card to start the new term.

I was given these letters ages ago and the cute paper is from my sister Gill, also a crafter, but she did not want  a load of papers from magazines, so I took them off her hands.!!!!
I coloured the edges of the letters to make them stand out abit more.
Added orange organza ribbon with a heart charm.

Sponsor is Digistamp Boutique

Hollie loved it, along with a box of crafting goodies I sent to her.

Not long until I see them all and Arabella Louise.
Noah looks so pleased with his new sister, he is so good with Aurora and I,m sure he will be with this one too, a great big brother.

Quilled Angel

Good Morning All
Another quilled creation today, this is my attempt at an Angel.

*********
A couple more baby pics.  Arabella Louise is the name they have decided on.
She does have a look of her older brother Noah when he was born.
I hope she has his dark colouring, he has  beautiful eyes.
She looks a little chunky monkey in these pics.

Looking forward to getting my hands on her in 3 weeks time.

I have a weekly sketch challenge going on on my Facebook page each week HERE
Good fun which I started for my Craft Club and extended to Fb page, anyone can enter and I give a little prize for a winner.  I would love you to join in.

Leftovers

Good Morning All
This is the card I mentioned yesterday, using the last bits of card left from the embossed and patterned card used for making the poinsettia cards.

Two bits of the patterned not big enough to make a full mat to fit the 6x6 card blank.
S decided to push them to opposite corners.

Matted the two pieces of embossed card onto black to go in the other corners.

Then pulled a  Tree die cut from my stash,
a couple of gems and
a card made from scraps !!!!!

Hello Baby

She looks like Noah in this one.
