About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Stamping

 Good Morning All

I am getting ready to go to UK to see the family on Sunday, just for afew days.  I have arranged it so that I dont miss any classes, so back on Wednesday  ready for Journaling on Thursday.

My card to day is a small  5x5.

Playing with my Oxides and a stamp set that my Friend Val was getting rid of and I thought the tree would be good for a Sympathy card.

One more for a charity box.

Inks & Stamps Stencils & Stickers

 Good Morning All

I have been playing with my Oxides and some stamps.

A bit of stenciling too and splashes of water onto the oxides.

Then on both of them I added some floral stickers.

I think I like this one best, very happy with it.

The sentiment is from an LOTV digi set.

Playing with stamps

Good Morning All

My team leader at Allsorts Challenge, Brenda, is great at stamping.
(I have linked her blog)
Now I am not a great stamper but I thought I would have a play.

This is a stamp set free in a magazine.
I stamped the background in brown and green Izinks.
Then the main images in Black Archival using various stamps from the set.
I added a ribbon and a tiny charm to the corner and one of my butterflies to the opposite corner.

This card is made using the offcuts from the background card.

The sentiment from John Lockwood set.

Then I was practising my grid work after watching Linda Williams from Pergamano Clarity on Hochanda last week.
This is using a proper grid not a Groovi plate.
You have to count all the dots to get the pattern evenly placed.

Off to Craft Club later and the winner of my little challenge will be drawn.

Free Stamps with Magazine

Good Morning All
I will be on my way to the airport when this post goes live, going to visit family.
****
I was lucky to get my hands on the Creative Stamping magazine 57
from Joanna sheen before it sold out.
I thought this would be a great set for all sorts of cards, men included.

I watched Maria and Barbara from Clarity on TV  and they blend the inks with large brushes to make a background.
The nearest thing I had was an old blusher brush.

Not too bad for a first attempt.

I used various Izinkz.

I decided to test nearly all the stamps by making a set of cards to go in a box for the Dog Rescue charity to have for a raffle prize.

I kept all the cards flat, without embellishments, very difficult to do!!!!!!

Then made a box from some sturdy card.

Stamped some more images for the front.

Added some nice ribbon to keep closed.

With a scrap of grosgrain ribbon grass pattern.
