Hunkydory

 Good Morning All

Well we got to Melbourne OK, very tired though but good after a full nights sleep.

We went into city yesterday and had a walk alomg the river and went up to the Skydeck, 88 floors.

 

One of my Craft ladies gave me a bag full of Hunkydory kits.

Although I do like them to look at, I must admit I am not a great fan of using them, but waste not want not as the saying goes. So I sat at my desk and set to with a set suitable for Man cards and here are the cards I made, lots of them!!! I think I made about 20 cards.

Most of them are A5 size and they have filled my charity boxes up nicely!

Boxes of cards

 Good Morning All

As you know I make alot for charity and here are two boxes I made from Centura Pearl card.  I decorated them and tied ribbon around.

Inside are 8 mixed cards, mostly Birthday and I give these to the two charities I support for them to use as Raffle or Tombola prizes.

This is my April page in my Journal, abit of doodling and a tiny bit of collage.  I am trying to keep up with my journaling and am enjoying  the design of pages and doodles and glueing on pages too.

John and I go to our local Library here in Spain, they have mostly English and afew  Dutch books.

There are the decals on the walls going up the stairs which I thought were great and so true.

This one says  

There is no friend  as loyal as a book.

Happy Sunday Challenge

 Good Morning All

This weeks challenge will run for 3 weeks until after Easter as I'm away so there will be no craft meeting for the next 2 weeks.

Infact, Eve stepped in for me on Friday as we will be in Singapore as this post goes live, on our way to Australia to visit one of Johns sons.

So for the challenge I made a sketch and made it quite challenging.

More Groovi Waste

 Good Morning All

As this post goes live we will be in the air on our way to Australia via Singapore to visit Johns youngest son, so afew scheduled posts  on the way.

Today is another way I use my offcuts of parchment.

Alot of my cards are square and as parchment usually comes in A4 or A5, I do have quite afew pieces that are 5 x 3 so here are some cards I have made to show my class.

I have a lovely plate with the large Happy Birthday in a lovey scroll font so I thought I would make that the focal point of the cards.

The first two cards, the pieces were not quite wide enough to fit the sentiment in full so added the Birthday word from a different plate.

Then just matted it onto designer paper.

Added afew gems to this one.

This is the sentiment as it is on the plate.

I'm very happy with these.

Groovi waste

 Good Morning All

When I am cutting parchment for my classes, I end up with lost of pieces that could be thrown in the bin!!!!

But not me, I have to use them!!!

These are two pieces  of  8x8 designer parchment that I die cut the centre from using Clarity Picot Square dies and I used a Groovi grid to make a frame.

Then cut a piece of card large enough to cover the centre aperture and added one of the Poppet images and a sentiment.  Mounted onto a 7x7 card base.

Another one using same process but the  topper is smaller so used afew mats.

Happy Sunday Challenge

 Good Morning All

Friday was my last time at Craft Club for afew weeks as John and I are going on a big holiday to visit his younger son in Australia.

This will be our last BIG holiday and we are breaking the outward bound journey in Singapore for afew days as we dont want to arrive at their house tired out, (I get bad tempered when I'm tired)!!!!!

Jamie wanted his Dad there when the Grand prix is on over Easter weekend so his kids are treating us to tickets!

Eve will be taking over next Friday then closed for 2 weeks and I will be back ready for class on 14th April.

I didn't bother colouring as I didn't think it needed it, it is so detailed
