About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Flowers all over for Allsorts

Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge this week is chosen by Mervi and her theme is
Flowers All Over

I chose a piece of lovely flowery paper from an LOTV pad called Country Meadow.
And the main topper is from another LOTV pad but it was a piece left on my desk so I dont know which one it was from.
I found  2 die cut butterflies in my box which I must have received in a swap.
Some tiny flower buds, and a homemade sentiment stuck on the side.
And , of course, a ribbon - Seam binding from Crafty Ribbons, and a charm.

Dont forget Crafty Ribbons have a wonderful sale on at present so go grab a bargain.

I used the strip of paper that was left for the inside.
I have started doing this more then I dont have lots of pieces of paper left over, which I tell myself I will use on another card and never do!!!

***************
I have doing alot of these this week for my Junk Journals, cards, gifts and swaps.
Used lots of old stuff too.

If anyone would like afew all I ask is a couple of quid to cover postage.

Inside the front cover with a pocket for tags.

Inside  the back cover, more pockets.

Lots of tags and ephemera and pockets and tiny notebook.

I'm very happy with how this turned out and I love this paper set from Gi,  and another gift ready for Christmas!!

Cherry Ribbon for Crafty Ribbons

Good Morning All

It is my turn to post for Crafty Ribbons.
I used this very pretty Pink Cherry Grosgrain ribbon, it is 40mm wide.
There are lots of this type available in store.
I used scraps of card that matched the colours and pieced them together.
I cut a circle using S/B Butterfly Circle die and added some stick on butterflies.

Crafty Ribbons have a Facebook page HERE

3 cards and Scraps

Good Morning All

Today I want to show you 3 cards made in the same way and using some scraps.
All have an LOTV Topper on which is  suitable for a Boy.

I used scraps of a similar or matching colour and made a sunburst pattern glued onto a piece of card to lay ontop of the card blank, then I trimmed all sides.

Something abit different but looks good I think.

3 Man  cards for the charity box too.

Now I know we all have a box or drawer full of offcuts of card and paper.
On my desk I have a small stack of A3 paper that I work on, they get covered in ink and writing and glue etc.
So I decided to glue some scraps onto the top piece like a collage.
This is my first one.

Then I cut it in half to make two A4 sheets to use as pages in a Junk Journal.

They will look OK I think  once stamped on or decorated with ephemera or pockets.
*****************
Dont forget Crafty Ribbons big sale on now.
***

Hope you are all keeping well and staying safe.
Did any of you go to the pub now that they are open in UK.
An area in the north of Spain has gone back into lockdown due to a large outbreak of Covid again.
I hope it doesn't spread again.

Envelope Notebook Folder

Good Morning All
I am so in to my notebooks at present and here is another one following a You Tube video from Gi at Happiness in Crafting.

Quite afew pics to follow.

This is the front cover of a fold up notebook envelope.

Inside the back cover

Inside the front cover.

Gi also has a video on making these cute little dresses and handbags.
UYou can deocrate as much or as little as you wish.
Most of my lace and ribbon on these comes from Crafty Ribbons - Link in sidebar.
I made mine into paperclips and attached to journaling cards but they would make great toppers for cards.

I decided to add a little tuck spot on the 1st page of the journaling pages.

Coffee stained and notebook pages sewn in.

And this is the envelope part on the back of the journal notebook.
All the ephemera stored in two pockets.

And this is a fold out page of journaling space of coffee stained paper.

How gorgeous is this.
Take a look at Gi's tutorials, they are fab.
I used papers I already had in my stash but I am going to make another one using Gi's papers.

Another gift to go in my drawer for Christmas.

Crafty Ribbons have a massive sale on, go check it out.
