My John still suffering and my back not any better.

So we are both feeling sorry for ourselves!!!!

Here is my card for this weeks sketch

The silver letters on blue card are punched from Mirri card using a handheld alphabet punch.

These have been on my desk for ages so decided to use them as I need to replenish my stock of all types of card.

This weeks sketch,  I had to do some by hand as my laptop has fallen out with my printer AGAIN.

I gave each of the ladies a gift box

I added three little Mint chocs, very similar to After Eights.

Last weeks challenge was to use Ribbon with a bonus of adding a charm.

New Beginnings for Crafty Friends

Good Morning All

Time for Crafty Friends Challenge again and this time the theme is 

New Beginnings - 

New Year, New Baby, New marriage etc. etc.

Diane had to change sponsor to A Day For Daisies, so I went with Mother Moon, which I thought was quite apt for a New Baby card.
I used a CE Hearts emboss folder in pale lemon.
A sweet charm tied with narrow Organza ribbon
Added a yellow feather behind the image, coloured with Promarkers.
All matted onto holographic Mirri card.

This is the card I made first, I thought I may aswell show it.

I used  image from Bugaboo,  called Crawling.

Gingham paper

Embossed hearts for balloons

Sentiment stamped with JND Mini Sentiments stamps

A Number for Allsorts

Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge time again and our host is Kath.

She has chosen a theme of Birthday or Anniversary but it must have a number on.

This card is really all made from my scrap box except for the gold Mirri card.

I used a Parchment border

Some dies cuts left over from when John (JND) moved

Heart shaped brads

Sentiment and number from an old Forever Friends set

I do like how it turned out.

My John still suffering with flu and to top it all I pulled my back out on Thursday so not too easy getting out of chair and toing and froing for him!!!!!

Pretty Pink Box Card

Good Morning All

I was asked to make this style of card by one of the couples we went away at New Year with.

I had previously made one for Liz and she liked it so much, she asked me to make one for her Auntie Beffy's 90th Birthday.

I used lots of pinks, well, who doesn't like pink??

Groovi butterfly and dragonflies.

Added lots of tiny parchment flowers to the left and right flaps.

Liz was very happy with it and it taking it to Canada next month for her Aunties birthday and a surprise party for her too.

Well my John is still laid up with flu, keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get it and keep on taking my Vitamin C.

Two Groovi

Good Morning All

Hope you are all well and got over the New Year Celebrations.

It is nice to get back to normal.

I have to replenish my boxes of cards upstairs as I have given quite alot of cards to charity and got two boxes for sale in different places, so I need to make all varieties of cards.

Here are two, one Sympathy and one, Anniversary, both Groovi.

The background for this one is homemade using the tissue paper technique, 

And this one is pink dotty paper matted onto dark pink card.

I,m still loving my Groovi and cant wait to spend a voucher my Craft Club ladies bought me for Clarity when they have their members sale next month.

I have even converted Brenda, my team leader at Allsorts Challenge.

She showed a lovely card she had made on Saturday.

Good Morning All

I made a Wedding card with these lovely embellishments I was gifted in a swap.

I used freebie papers from a magazine.

The champagne glasses topper is probably the oldest item in my stash, one of the first things I bought ????? years ago!!

And I added one of my homemade dangle charms with a heart and a butterfly on.

Music for MAWTT

Good Morning All

Moving Along With The Times Challenge this time is Music.

I found this music printed paper in my stash, very pale as it is pink on cream.

Then I had to search for an image that was music related and found this sweet LOTV topper from a sheet called  Funtime Teddies, love the dancing teddies.

I decided to make it into a Congratulations card - Wedding, Engagement etc.

I tied a charm around the wide organza ribbon and added a large gem flower and heart gems in the corners.

We had a fab time in Sella. 

 The weather couldn't have been better, just perfect clear blue skies for the whole 3 days.

The roads were abit scary though, getting to the apartment, glad I wasn't driving.

Ironically, it is where my crafty friend Val J lived when she first moved to Spain.

Happy Christmas

Good Morning All

I know you will all be busy getting the final preparations done for tomorrow.

We have decided we are staying in for lunch and having nibbles, so all I am making is sausage rolls and we have bought  a prawn platter for John, his passion!!!

And I will bake warm bread and make a salad and I have cooked a gammon joint too.

Here is the card I made for one of my sisters.

It is very similar to the one I made for my other sister where I made a spelling mistake and had to add a bow to cover it.

At my craft club on Friday I gave all the ladies a selection of gifts and I used the bags I made a while ago for a Crafty Ribbon design team post.

I filled them with different gifts for all of them but I did give them each one of these little pouches containing some stick pins

                      I made these pouches from bought cards that I have received in the past and I stick a                                                  piece of material in to jab the pins into.
