About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Trees Leaves for Allsorts

Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge time again and the theme is Trees and/or Leaves hosted by Mervi.

I used  a tree die unbranded and dotted it with some of my tiny butterfly embellishments and some pearls.
Very simple but nice I think.

Tag Envelopes

Good Morning All
Yeh back at Craft Club today, missed them girls and still missing my mate Lyn who moved back to UK.
******
I made these tag envelopes before I went to UK.
I will use them in a Junk Journal or for gifts or even for a topper on a card with a tag inside.
Also, making these is a great way of using up bits of ribbon and odd bits lying on my desk.

These three each have a quilled flower on

I used Glitter Polish for the edges of card underneath.
Paper from magazine.
Satin ribbon
Resin rose
Peeloff corners with pearls in centres-

Afew pics from UK visit

Good Morning All
Here are afew pics from my visit to UK.
First stop was in North West.

4 generations - Mum, me, my son and my grandaughter

Noah and Aurora love playing in my sisters garden, bubbles and water balloons.

************
Next stop was Leicester.

I went out for lunch with John Next Door, Mrs Duck (Ang) and one of their friends.

Now he is having a well earned break in Greece, he wasn't booked on Monarch, thank goodness!!!!

Then these are some miniature plants that a lady made for John and Ang.
I couldn't resist showing you these, they are amazing.
She makes all parts of them and the tiny flowers and leaves are paper.
Very intricate work.

Then last stop was Corby where I met up with a lovely lady from  my swap group on Facebook.
We met up for a cuppa and a swap.

Then finally, Hollie and Tess.
Hollie had a school assembly where they had to dress up as a favourite character and sing!!!

Then this little cutie has just started walking and learning to talk, so funny.

A most pleasurable trip and today I am taking some friends to Quesada to pick up a coach for their cruise.
Then John and I are going out for a walk.
THEN I can get in my craft room and play with all my new goodies!!!!!!

I just made a frame for it with some on my mini butterflies.
A nice bright card and using old stash so me is happy bunny.!!!!!!

Quilled Autumn Card

Good Morning All

This is a quilled card I made for a swap in a card group on Facebook.
The theme was Autumn.
The scarecrow card has been in my stash for years but I thought it was very apt for this card.
I hope the quilling looks like corn.
And tied them together with twine.

I made a sort of Shabby Chic card.
Lots of bits used on this.
I have a box I keep stuff in to make Tags, so I delved into that.

2 Man cards

Good Morning All

Here are two fairly quick 'Man' cards.
The first one is using pieces of LOTV paper that were left over from another project. and the sentiment is a Creative Expressions die cut twice to highlight.

The 2nd one is LOTV Topper, I love these, they are so cute, and scraps of paper matted and layered.

I went to meet my new grandaughter  yesterday.

Hello UK

Good Morning All
As this goes live I shall be on my way to Alicante Airport to fly to Liverpool to see Arabella Louise and the rest of the family.
It is a two centre break for me as I am meeting John Next Door on Sunday and then he is taking me down to his and then I shall get the train to my other sons in Corby.
Cant wait to see everyone and meet the new babs.
*****
Today I have another couple of quilled cards.
A general one.

And a Christmas one.
This is a very small one, just 10x10cm.
I am thinking of doing afew of this size together and selling in a pack of maybe 5 or 6 at the Christmas Fayre I am doing in November.
I have been quilling some poinsettias for this size of card.

I believe it is only about 14 or 15 weeks until Christmas!!!!!

See you soon.

**********
I have some more pics of the floating cups now.  I was having issues with my memory card from my camera, t kept saying it needed formatting but I have been using it for ages with no issues, then suddenly saying that.  Anyway, John tired it in his laptop and it was OK so I tried again and voila, fine!!!!

This is Val J's.

This is mine.

**********

I would like to show you this ladies' quilling.  She is a member of a group on Facebook and she also has her own page HERE
Her work is amazing.
She has given me permission to show you all.
Why not pop along and view her work.

Feels Like Autumn for Allsorts

Good Morning All
Allsorts Challenge this week is Feels Like Autumn hosted by Ellie.
I chose this image because it reminds me of Harvest Festival in church when I was at school.
Once the Harvest was over, the farmers would get ready for Autumn.
I dont even know where the image is from, sorry
Using scraps of card for the background.
Fussy cut the stamped image which I coloured with Promarkers.
Buttons with twine, which was used to tie the bales, probably not these days but it was used years ago when I was a child!!!!

Brenda is offering a prize of a gorgeous Tonic die.

*****
I went to another craft class on Thursday and we made Floating Tea Cups, great fun.

Mine is the dark one near the middle.
I think I may add some flowers to it.
