Good Evening All

The Stamping Ground's WOYWW  ( Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday) 252 and this is mine, a real mess and I have not had time to visit anyone's blog as yet , but will try to get around tonight.

It is a total mess as allsorts have been dumped there because ----

Had a busy day as the window cleaner was coming today but we did not know at what time so I had to clear my craftroom out as he was cleaning inside and out, so he has to take the windows out from my room.

Just got everything moved back into place but now I need to have a good sort out.  That is the good thing about him coming to do the outsides aswell, it makes me have a good tidy up and a good clean too.  Also, I have my Spanish lesson on Wednesday afternoon.

Here Comes Spring

Good Morning All

It's the first of the month so it's time for a new challenge at Ladybug Crafts Challenge. 

 Samantha has chosen 'Here Comes Spring'
I chose to use this lovely decoupage image of bright yellow flowers.

The picture looks abit blue but that is because of the background. (Note to self, never use a coloured background, use white).  The base card is white and matted with yellow card  and blue patterned paper, a doily, afew gems and a couple of corner peeloffs.

Good Morning All

I found this card in my archives!!!!  I did make it a while ago but wanted to show it to you all.   I hope my friend Lin looks in today as she has just started doing a little bit of parchment work.  Lin joins us at our craft meets on Thursday mornings and she also runs the Slim Club I attend.  

It is two layers of exactly the same pattern so it did take a while to do.

Use Your Dies

Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge this week is 'Use Your Dies' so I,m sure this will be a really busy one.

I have made a wall hanger using Spellbinders Hexagon dies and the label is an X Cut.

All mounted onto wide white satin ribbon with a thinner pink one, interspersed with Mei Flower ribbon bows.

I stamped a sentiment onto the  X cut label and tied twine through the holes.

I have had this blue hydrangea decoupage in stash for years and thought it would go well on this creation.

The cameo on the bottom is an item I got in some blog candy.

Good Evening All

Just a quick post to show you my desk, Why?  Because I visited this blog this morning HERE and wondered what WOYWW and this means ----Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  It's a link that starts from HERE where folks show their work desks or work space, just abit  fun really, so here is mine and I,m bragging 'cos it's nice and tidy.

The reason it is  quite tidy is because I couldn't get back to sleep this morning at 5.30 so I got up and moved afew things around and had a bit of a sort out.  So where you see my chair, I can just swizzle around and my plastic drawers are there on the bookshelves behind me, with all my different colours of card in.  I have tried to get the stuff I use alot, positioned there so I dont have to keep getting up.

More Bits

Good Morning All

 I had my last injection y on Monday but it is looking like i will have to go and see a specialist next week, but we will see how it goes, I am doing some exercises that the Physio gave me, so, hopefully, these might help. 

I have been busy making lots of cards for the Craft Fayre coming up at our local English Bar on Good Friday.  I,ve really enjoyed this time as I can make lots of cards using all sorts of bits up, instead of having to use a sponsors digi image or anything specific.  I,m trying to use all my scraps and bits and bobs lying around my desk and boxes.

Whenever I use a die, I always cut some extras if there is card left, so I have lots of bits in my colour, co -ordinated boxes of card.  So this is all bits from the box in creams, beige and browns with a cute Little Humphrey on the easel.

Hope all is well in your world, it is in mine
Hollie Skyped with her Daddy yesterday and her talking is coming along great, so much fun.  She goes around the house with a pack of baby wipes, cleaning and wiping things down, so funny.  Cant wait to get my hands on her in May when I get over there.

This is my first challenge for Hobbycutz  (I got the dates wrong !!!duhhh) and it is Girly but no Pink.

I chose a lovely  digi from our sponsor Whimsy ' Faerie Dandelion ', I  think she is quite sweet.  Coloured with Promarkers, matted and layered onto orange and brown card ( OH beer cartons).  Two Hobbycutz  embellishments with a heart shaped button, ribbon and a couple of homemade sentiments.  I really like these Hobbycutz Embellishments, they look so good on all creations, scrapbook pages and cards, and I shall be using them alot more now, I have pinched these off John Next Door until mine arrive.

All About The Boys

Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge theme this week is 'All About The Boys' set by Tracy.

I wanted to do a different design of card and came up with this.  It looks like  a cross over at first.

I bought some magnetic fasteners from Ebay, so I made a strap with the mustard coloured card and wrapped this lovely  ribbon around it.

The papers and the tiny buttons are from PaperMania.

Sentiments are homemade, tied with blue and yellow narrow ribbon.

Then the inside stands like an easel card.

I chose to use this gorgeously cute image from Digi Darla.  I just think he is so sweet.

Well here is my interpretation.
 The green card looks abit brown in the picture but it is in fact, sage green mounted onto hammered pink card.  Homemade sentiments and tags.  Three colours of Joanna Sheen ribbon stuck with one of my bead pins and a single rose with a twisted stem.

I have started decorating the inside of some of my cards, so I put another piece of the hammered pink card with a tiny pic of the larger pic.

I have made a card using a Delicious Doodles digi and it is a flower you dont see very much of these days, but still so very pretty, but I do believe it is poisonous.

Coloured with Promarkers, matted onto Spelbinders Labels 6, a dotty embossing folde on Coredinations card.  Homemade sentiment, satin ribbon with   fairy charm and leaf charm.  Another Marianne butterfly die cut in purple card.

Nail Art Sort Of

Good Morning All

I hope you have all had a good weekend, I have, I've been busy making lots of cards as I have been asked to do a stall at Easter at our local English bar to help the local under privileged  people.  As my stock of cards is very low I need to get busy as it is only 5 weeks away, on Good Friday.  In the last couple of weeks I have given nearly all my cards to the two charities that I support here, Animal Aid and  Stoma Support group.
Also, I have been accepted onto Hobby Cutz Design Team which will be great fun.  I am on team 1 and John next door is on team 2, so that should be fun.
My first challenge is on 6th April.

The card I am showing you today is made from some stuff that Linda from Animal Aid gave to me to.  She often rings me to ask if I can use items that she has been given and she cant sell on her stall, so I do try to make use of it when I can.

She gave me this stuff for Nail Art and I thought I could definately use that on cards etc.  The gold flakes, I thought, were like gilding flakes, which I have never used but thought it could not be too hard.

I cut a large butterfly with a Marianne die from double sided sticky paper, stuck it onto a scalloped circle then brushed the flakes on with a paint brush.

So good so far!!!

I matted onto a larger circle and added another, smaller, Marianne die cut  butterfly, a Mei Flower fluorescent butterfly, Bitty blossom flower, ribbon and sentiment.

All mounted onto embossed card matted on pink.
As you know, I dont like to waste anything and when Linda rings to ask if I could use something she has been given I dont like to say 'no'.  I think it looks pretty good do you?  I know I shall be using the gold again and there is the same amount of silver too.

Pretty In Pink

Good Morning All
Just to let you know I am feeling better with my back.  I have been having my injections each day and the last one today.  The pain is alot less and just discomfort really, at night, so still not sleeping good, but then I never do anyway.

The challenge this week at

Allsorts  has been set by Sarah and it is 'Pretty In Pink'.

For this easel card I used a Passion for Stamps image which is a lovely cute pair of bootees, obviously coloured pink and mounted onto a Nellie Snellen heart die.  The sweet circle sentiment is from Netty HERE and I attached it with a cute clothes peg.  I love the cute teddy  bear ribbon, this has been in my stash for years.  The papers are Forever Friends.

I made another card using a  very pretty Nicecrane design.

I mounted the pre-coloured image onto white card die cut with a Nellie Snellen Multi Frame die MFD030, then on to pink card cut with Spellbinders scalloped circle.
I embossed white card with Tied Together embossing folder, interspersed with pearls and pink gems.  Added feathers, ribbon with a pearl buckle.

I used pink paper for the insert and punched the edges with a heart punch

First I want to say 'Happy Birthday' to my Brother In Law Barry

Second I want to tell you that I had to give in to the pain in my back and go to the Doctor on Monday.
Appointment at 11am, prescription to Pharmacia to get 6 injections, back to Doctor to have 1 injection in my bum, straight to hospital with letter from Doctor to have an Xray, 5 minute wait from going to reception, called in for Xray, 20 minute wait then handed envelope with a CD and report in, back home by1.35pm.  I have to go to Doctor each morning this week to have an injection, and take the results from Xray with me today for him to look at.  Touch wood, last night I was feeling abit better.

Moody Blue

Good Morning All

Moving Along With The Times challenge this time is 'Moody Blue and Debs wants to see Blues, there is a photo on the blog for inspiration for the colours.
I,m feeling abit blue as my back has gone again and I,m in agony, this is the worst it has been as I now have abit of numbness down my leg, so it's obviously a trapped nerve somewhere.  The worst is the night time when I,m trying to sleep and just cannot get comfy.  And we have more visitors arriving tonight.
I will just have to carry on crafting, at least the pain doesn't seem as bad when my mind is occupied!!!!

I decided to use a pre-coloured image from Pink Gem Designs and kept it very  simple as it is a 'male' card.

Afew opaque gems and a homemade sentiment.  The darker blue is a negative die cut and the image is cut with a Spellbinders Scalloped Circle, as is the sentiment.  The trellis corners are a Cheery Lynn die.
