About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Groovi Embellishments

 Good Morning All

Last week at my last Groovi class of the year we were making embellishments using Butterflies and Bows.

This is the card I made to show the ladies.  Quite easy.

I used a background plate and coloured the leaves.

Then picot cut a bow from green parchment, stuck it on with green brads and matted all onto Clarity Designer paper and added a sentiment.

Here are some cut from purple parchment.   I always keep some of these on hand along with flowers, ready to embellish when needed or to hide a little mistake LOL.

I wish all my visitors a wonderful Happy New Year and lets hope things get better but I do suspect they will get worse before getting better.
But it is what it is so we have to get on with it.
All the best to you anyway, at least we are here.

A Big selection of LOTV Mens cards

 Good Morning All

I am trying to clear my Google Photos files so here are afew LOTV Mens cards that I made a while ago.

They are using  Toppers from the Mens selection and they come in different sizes on 1 sheet, very useful.

Again, I am using scraps  and leftovers but I think they all make nice Men cards.

AG for Crafty Ribbons

 Good Morning All

It is my turn to show my Crafty Ribbons make and these are gifts for my Junk Journal class ladies.

They are ephemera holders made from left over pieces of Scrapbook card and odd bits of papers and vellum.  I stuffed the pockets with bits for them to use in their journals.

I have used the narrow Gingham ribbon in blue available HERE.

It comes in various widths and colours and I used the 5mm.

There is a flip card in both pockets front and back with more ephemera pockets.

I added three layers so this created 6 pages and reduced the size of each one towards the centre.

There is a tutorial on You Tube from Treasure Books on how to make these.

I,m sure the ladies  will love them and make great use of all the bits I have included.

I will wish you all
A Very Happy Christmas

One for the Charity Box

 Good Morning All

I hope you are all ready for the big day.

As you know, we are going to Benidorm on Thursday and Rico is going to one of my Craft Ladies while we are there, he goes tomorrow.

They lost their dogs this year so they asked if I needed anyone to look after him whenever we go away, so between them and Liz and Paul form the craft shop, we have dog sitters on hand.

Onto my card for today, which is another one trying to clear out some older stuff.

I,m not sure who this topper is from but it is a cutie.   I used a piece of embossed card and afew punched butterflies

I have decided to enter afew challenges as I have abit of time at present.

Anything Winter for Allsorts

 Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge this week is on for 2 weeks over the Christmas period.

Lolo has chosen the theme of

Anything Winter.

When my John gets his meds from the Farmacia, they pack them in a small paper carrier bag, so I save them all and decorate them for my Craft Club ladies Christmas gifts.

This is both sides of how they are originally

Here are 3 I have decorated.
I printed some digital pages from a kit and glued ribbon across the top.
All the ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons in UK.

Ruth Hamilton is sponsoring us and giving a winner 3 digis.
I made this card using her....Gnome

Brenda is giving these as another  Prize

Tonic Autumn Dream die set and Bee Crafty BEAUtanicals Wildflower 3

This challenge will run for 2 weeks over the Christmas period, have fun.

Two more Kids Cards

 Good Morning All

Hope you are all well and looking forward to Christmas.  John and I are going to Benidorm, but to be honest, I think we both wish we weren't with all the Covid situation.  If we had not already paid for it I dont think we would go but all we can do is try to keep ourselves safe.  We are trying to get our boosters before we go but they are not doing our age group yet but we will keep trying.

Here are two more kids cards for the charity box and they feature the same toppers as the ones last week, Peter Rabbit.

Again, I was using scraps on my desk and left over gems from my Chrystal art

Thanks for visiting.

AG Christmas for Crafty Ribbons

 Good Morning All

Well my cold is getting better but not totally there yet.  Living life as normal and I have a Junk journal class this afternoon and we are making a Christmas notebook .

*********

I have this lovely card to show you today, another one using items from my stash.

For the sentiment I used a Word ribbon from Crafty Ribbons.

I think I am now at the end of using all my old Christmas papers, toppers and card.
Yeyyyy I can buy new next year!!!!

This year, to add to all my Craft ladies Christmas gift bags, I used John's (JND) Cracker die and made these.  This is so easy to use and just tie the ends with organza ribbon, easy and very effective.
I filled them with a little surprise nibble!!  Although I didn't add a snap so there will be no crack when they pull them, just something nice.
