About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Seville Pics

Good Morning All

Here are afew pics of Seville.
We stayed in an apartment in the old city, very central for everything we wanted to see.
Very hot though, I dont think I would like to go any later in the year.

My first view of the cathedral, just 1 minute from our door.

Horse drawn carts around the old city

We had to have a ride along the Guadalquivir river, a little cooler there.

I remember this place from the first time I visited Seville years ago.
The Plaze de España.

An amazing building, some of it is now used for Council offices.

 The Alcázar of Seville

The Cathedral of St. Mary.

And finally, the Metropol Parasol know as The Mushrooms, all made from wood I believe.

I could show loads more but I wont bore you all.
Thanks for visiting.

Matchboxes

Good Morning All
Here are my Matchboxes from my swap partner, aren't they lovely?
Each one contained homemade trinkets and embellishments.

I mentioned about going on a coach trip the other day and here are afew pics.
It was to a place called Biar, I did say Bier, so spelt wrong!!!

It was about one and a half hours away.  A very small village but very quaint and old.
We did climb upto the top of the Castle, my poor old, creaky knees!!!!

These narrow streets reminded me of Dubrovnik.
