Truly Scraps

 Hi Everyone

These cards are all made using my scraps.

The backgrounds from strips of card leftover and the sentiment on leftover pieces of parchment.

They are all the same really, I just thought I would show them all.

Some for men and some for ladies.

Well it feels like I've never been away!!!!

Back to Craft Group on Friday and this is the card I made for their little challenge.

Use Scraps

This is a great way of using scraps.

I tear them into small pieces and then sort of collage them together and stick under an aperture.

You could ink the white edges but I quite like the white standing out.

Then decorate with a small topper.

What do you think???

Here are four cards from the files using scraps which, as you know, I love to do.

I'm going to try to enter more challenges this year! 

We will see how that goes!

I haven't shown you any of the gifts I give out at my group so here are last weeks.

Fruitella sweets.

I added a homeade gem and butterfly on each one.  I made these gems years ago so trying to use some stash, as we all are!!!

Backgrounds from Scraps

 Hi

We all end up with lots of scraps of card and paper.

This is one way I use my strips of card.

To make backgrounds for my cards

You will see alot of these being used in future posts.

I know its Not a Card Wednesday but this is what one looks like using that style of background

Scraps for Backgrounds

 Good Morning All

Two cards today using scraps to make the backgrounds.

Any strips of card I have left over I put in a file and make diagonal backgrounds like these.

This first one uses a digital topper and peeloff sentiment on a tag diecut.

This topper is another offcut of pretty paper matted onto white card.

What do you think?

These are all 5x5 cards so smallish but great for the boxes I make for raffle prizes for the charities.

More Offcuts

 Good Morning All

Following on from Wednesdays post, using some offcuts, here are 4 more cards.

I hide the joins with ribbon or Washi tape like on this first one.

I added afew little butterflies as the bottom half is embossed with butterfly EF.

This one is ribbon from Crafty Ribbon UK, not sure if they are still trading.  Not much else needed I dont think as the ribbon is so lovely.

Afew butterflies on this one too.

Four simple cards but I think they look good, what do you think.??

Using some Scraps

 Good Morning All

Todays  post is using lots of my offcuts.

When I go to my Craft Group, I often take some scraps and card bases with me and try to utilise as many offcuts as I can.

Then when I get home I get into my toppers and make into cards and add the Sentiments.

I get a great sense of satisfaction too.

Create Own Background for MTTC

 Good Morning All

My Time To Craft Challenge this time is chosen by Becca with a theme of  

Make Your Own Background.

I often make my own as I like to use my scraps and this is one of them.

Strips of designer paper and coordinating card.

I used the same colour card as the mat, a lovely peppermint green.

I added a die cut sentiment and a Groovi flower and leaf.

It is very satisfying using some scraps, dont you agree??

This is a great way of using your thin strips of left over  paper.

Feeling Satisfied!!

 Good Morning All
I have been determined last weekend to clear some of my scraps, I got fed up of looking at it as it is a box I keep on the side of my desk.

It now has no scraps in, only what is meant to be in there.

I made quite afew collage sheets and then made them into tags for journals.

I had a couple of kids reading books, quite large papers.

So I collaged all my coloured pieces onto one side of a page and on the other side I used all the plain, pale papers.

Then I cut them into tags

I sewed around some and added a grommet.

They can be decorated more when I know which Journal they will go in.

I also made about 12  cards ready to add toppers too, using the bigger pieces of  scraps and adding ribbon to hide the joins.

Two cards made as I am trying to clear my old digi images too.

Such a great feeling seeing the scrap box cleared.

Now I say I am determined not to let it get like that again!!!!

But we will see!!!!

Cherry Ribbon for Crafty Ribbons

Good Morning All

It is my turn to post for Crafty Ribbons.

I used this very pretty Pink Cherry Grosgrain ribbon, it is 40mm wide.

There are lots of this type available in store.

I used scraps of card that matched the colours and pieced them together.

I cut a circle using S/B Butterfly Circle die and added some stick on butterflies.

3 cards and Scraps

Good Morning All

Today I want to show you 3 cards made in the same way and using some scraps.

All have an LOTV Topper on which is  suitable for a Boy.

 

I used scraps of a similar or matching colour and made a sunburst pattern glued onto a piece of card to lay ontop of the card blank, then I trimmed all sides.

Something abit different but looks good I think.

3 Man  cards for the charity box too.

Now I know we all have a box or drawer full of offcuts of card and paper.

On my desk I have a small stack of A3 paper that I work on, they get covered in ink and writing and glue etc. 

So I decided to glue some scraps onto the top piece like a collage.

This is my first one.

Then I cut it in half to make two A4 sheets to use as pages in a Junk Journal.

They will look OK I think  once stamped on or decorated with ephemera or pockets.

Did any of you go to the pub now that they are open in UK.

An area in the north of Spain has gone back into lockdown due to a large outbreak of Covid again.

I hope it doesn't spread again.
