About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Craftyhazelnuts Challenge

Good Morning All

Craftyhazelnuts Challenge this month, as always is Anything Goes
as long as you use Patterned Paper.
A pretty paper from Making Cards magazine matted onto Holographic mirri card-
I used a Christmas Groovi plate and did some snipping in the corners.
Quite a quick card once the Groovi work has been done!!!

This is my last DT make for Craftyhazelnuts and I have enjoyed being part of the team for the last 6 months.

Craftyhazelnuts PP Challenge

Good Morning All

I used 2 sheets from an LOTV paper pad and made an Eclipse card, they seem to be quite fashionable at the moment.I had to add butterflies as the tape ripped some of the paper on the G.
I slightly offset the letters on black foam.

Craftyhazelnuts

Good Morning All

I used some lovely Snowflake paper from an old Making Cards magazine.
I am getting these used up as I have not got my Christmas box out yet so I keep these close by as they have papers, topper and sentiments.
I used a lovely Groovi 'Silent Night' plate, snipped the corners so you can see the paper.
All mounted onto holographic silver card.

Hazel always gives a lovely prize to a randomly chosen winner so pop over and have a go.

Anything Goes as long as you use Patterned Paper.
So that's nice and easy isn't it?
And Hazel always gives a nice prize.

I kept this card general so it can be used as a Wedding or Engagement or even, Anniversary.
Paper is from Making Cards magazine.

Back later with Allsorts.

Craftyhazelnuts Challenge

Good Morning All
An easy challenge, all you have to do is use patterned paper.

I used some pieces form LOTV paper pad 'Father Knows Best'
It is a 8x8 pad and these are the pieces left over from another project.
I matted each piece onto different coloured card.
Added a sweet decoupage topper.
Homemade sentiment with seam binding from Crafty Ribbons.
And finally afew gems.

Happy Crafting

New DT

Good Morning All

I was invited to join Crafty Hazelnuts Patterned Paper Challenge, thank you Hazel.

Here is my first one for the month of July.
The paper is from an 'Urban Style' pad, not sure where from possibly The Works.

I made the backing card using Gilding Polish to match the copper on the ATC.

I am still trying to use lots of bits and bobs I have in boxes and drawers.
This topper is from an ATC swap I did.
The corner die cut from before John moved back to UK, one of his Spellbinder dies.
A homemade sentiment tag with a dangle charm and twine.

Hope you will join in the challenge, always Anything Goes, just need to use  patterned paper.

Back later with the Sketch and Craft Club gifts post.
