Fancy Fold for Allsorts

Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge is Fancy Folds.

Mine is an Acetate Easel card and I embossed the acetate with a Butterfly embossing folder from Creative Expressions.

I cut the Marianne butterfly twice, once in green card and once in parchment paper.

Lace and seam binding  with a flower to hold the easel shape.

The papers were from a magazine my sister gave me and as there was quite abit left here is another 2 cards I have ready to decorate.

I used one of them but the other is for another DT project so I cannot show you that one.

I added a tiny bow from  one of my Birthday cards to hide a cutting mistake on the circle sentiment!!!

Age as Focal Point for MAWTT

Good Morning All

Moving Along With The Times Challenge time again.

Carole from Team B wants to see an age as the focal point on your creation.

As I have cards for sale in a local bar, I thought I would make some with ages on like, 50, 60, 70 etc.

This is one I have made, just got to think of Man ones now!!!!

I used -

7x7 Scalloped card blank

 Creative Expressions Love Heart 8x8 embossing folder.

Sue Wilson Pierced Circle die.

Sue Wilson Wellington die.

SW Mosaic Leaf die.

Matchboxes and Embellishments

Good Morning All

I hope you caught John Next Doors shows on Hochanda yesterday.Amazing demos and some lovely stamps and masks, he had afew sell outs too.

The swap I mentioned on my previous post is to make a card to accompany a handmade bag or box which must contains at least 6 handmade embellishments, of which 3 must have lace on.!!!!!

Wow, I thought of that one, !!!!!!

Well I have shown you some of the lace flowers I made to go in the bag.

These are some matchboxes I have made, two of which will go in the bag and the others I shall use to go in with raffle prizes at my craft club.

I added three concertina butterflies in this one, so pretty with my pearl gems.

The flowers on the top are made with Cheery Lynn Roses die.

This one has a Foamiran flowers I made at my craft club on top.
Filled this one with my tiny butterflies.

I love these metal corners I bought from Ebay.
Concertina flower I received in a swap!!

Filled this one with different embellishments from my stash.

I have not decided yet which one I am using for the swap.
There is a couple more to show you another day.

My Desk & Scraps

Good Morning All

This was the state of my desk on Saturday.

My actual work space gets smaller and smaller and it is making me so frustrated.

I have all these bits and die cuts I am DETERMINED to use!!!!!

I know I go on about using scraps and off cuts but I really must clear this pile.

Whenever I buy a new die or embossing folder I test it out, obviously, so that's what alot of this is.

I must admit I do get a great deal of satisfaction from using bits and scraps.

I see some amazing creations from Bloggers and I think, 'Oh I must try that' but then I get onto something else.
I also have this set of mini drawers filled with die cuts that I have either cut or people have gifted to me.

Well I have made afew cards to try and reduce the pile.

Luckily I have outlets for most of my makes and I am still building stock up for the Christmas Fayre in November.

I,m sure we are all the same and my sister said to me once that she gets  as much satisfaction from buying craft stuff as making with it !!!

Lace Flower Embellishments

Good Morning All

I have been making more lace ribbon embellishments.

These are another thing I can do while watching TV, which has been  tennis this last two weeks, I love Wimbledon.

This one has a stick pin with a dangler butterfly  charm.

Last week saw the start of Fiesta Fortnight in our village and one of the activities going on was Wacky Races last night.
We walked up to the top of the village for the start at 8pm, but this being Spain, mañana, mañana.
At about 9pm they started.
It is handmade cars or carts and they career through the streets going downhill and around corners.
Here are afew pics.

There weren't many  this year.

And this was the sun setting over the mountains at the back as we walked home.

John Next Door and a Handbag

Good Morning All

Well, what did you all think of John Next Door's news.

So proud of him and very pleased that the new stamps have been well received and has released a You Tube video to show how to use the Media Plates too.

I have been making Paper Handbags for a swap, to be shown at a later date.

When my crafty friend Val saw them she thought they would sell well in her daughters shop so here are afew more I made yesterday.

I have Mrs Duck to thank for these gorgeous papers.

Also, a great way of using my large satin ribbon flowers.
Fasten with a magnetic clip available on Ebay.

These would make lovely gifts, fill with chocs, miniature toiletries, anything really.

Very easy to make and I thin they look lovely.

Well, Mrs Duck and my John will be watching the Motor racing, I'll be upstairs watching tennis.

Just a Note

Good Morning All

Here is another card using a concertina butterflies I made HERE.  I need to buy myself a  new scoring board, I had to borrow one from my craft friend Lyn.

She had one that has increments of 0.5 centimetres which is what I needed to make these.
I made this card using all the off cuts from an 8x8 piece of embossed card that I had used on another project, just matted them onto pink card.
 Looks OK don't you think?

I used the odd piece of paper left over for the inside of the card.

More Tags

Good Morning All

I made these tags a while ago.

It is a great way of using scraps too.

They will go in the box to sell at a Christmas fayre in November.

It is quite hard trying to find bits to go on ones for men, they are a pain aren't they????

I was gifted these little wooden tools, perfect for the job.

I really do mean that everything is from scraps, corners of papers, one off flowers, bits cut from book pages,

odd bits of ribbon and string.

We all have odd gems lying around our desk.

The only thing cut from a new sheet is the tag bases, cut from Kraft card.

Good Morning All

My, it is getting hot here, getting to the point now where we have to have AC on during the day, had it on at night for quite afew weeks. Sadly, getting too hot in my craft room!!!!!
Can manage in there with the fan on in the afternoon, once the sun has moved around the side.

I made these three cards on last Week using the same rubber stamp, all heat embossed.
Two with gold and one with Lilac embossing powder.

All very CAS.
