About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Hello

Good Morning All

We are putting Rico in the kennels today so that I can give my back a rest.
You never know whether you are doing right or wrong by keeping moving.
But as it has gone on so long now, I thought I would rest it for a couple of days before I leave for UK on Thursday.

This is one of my fave Groovi plates and can be used for many occasions.

Here it is before I added a sentiment.
White parchment onto coloured parchment with very fine picot cut scalloped edge.

I just added a simple homemade stamped sentiment with a charm and ribbon.
This is a large card for me, 7x7 and I keep this size for special  ones.

I have also been knitting and crocheting for the dogs and the homeless .
I found a group on Facebook who want to collect, hats, gloves and scarves for the homeless in Murcia, so another great way of using scraps of wool too.
These are things I can do while I am at Ricks in Corby.

xxxxx

Gorgeous card, Wendy. I did not know you like crochet. Well, I love it. And it is so nice of you to make crochet creations for a good purpose (often I do this in Greece too). Hugs, my dear friend.
PS: You are a great lady and I proud of you. Through your blog I found Post Pals for Sick Children and soon I am going to send them some cards and small gifts.

Hi wendy,
such a very stunning creation and so beautifully created.
I love the design.
Those mitts take me back quite a few years to when I used to knit them.
sadly my fingers hurt so if I knit too much these days.
All I can just about do is knit dish cloths very slowly.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

A beautiful card Wendy. Love it. Like the knitted mittens. My car was also iced up inside tonight. Took ages to thaw. Sorry you are still having back trouble. Probably a good idea to rest it for a couple of days.
