About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Flowers & Pearls

Good Morning All
Wow I had a trip and a half on Thursday.  I went with the couple who have set up the car business in the village, he is doing well and selling plenty of cars so he needed to source some more to sell.  He found a couple in Marbella, so he asked me if I was willing to help out and go with them to bring one back.  We set off a 6am and got back at 7pm, about 5 hours driving, but the scenery was gorgeous, driving right by the Sierra Nevada mountains, still topped with snow.

Allsorts Challenge this week has been set by Mervi and she wants to see 'Flowers & Pearls'

I used black & white, flowers given to me by Linda (Animal Aid), flowery paper in stash for ages.  Squares are Nellie Snellen  MFD006 and the 'For You' Sentiment is a Sissix die which will go in the bin as it does not cut very well, it comes with a swirl but that cuts even worse than this one.  I bought it on Ebay, waste of money.

Wonderful prize so pop over to Challenge Blog and have a go.

Dies Total = 77

Well this is the end of my Personal Die Challenge and the grand total is 80 as I have a S/B Snowflake and a Leanne Poinsettia, plus a banner one that I thought was my friend Vals as I dont remember buying it but she said it was not hers.  I would never have believed I had that many, I would love for some of you to count yours and tell on your blogs or comment on mine how many you have,  go on,

I DARE YOU.

Sounds like a lovely day Wendy, a few years back we drove through those mountains and saw Eagles, it was quite a sight.

A very elegant monochromatic card today.

Lovely card. Not sure I want to count my dies-might give myself a massive shock! I have the standard sized dies on magnetic sheets in 6 A5 folders and all my grand dies in a A4 folder. Each of the A5 wallets have either a set or numerous individual dies. I buy most craft magazines especially if they have a free die on them and there's been quite a few recently.

Lovely card Wendy. Your drive back sounds great. John used to do a lot of winter climbing in the Sierra Nevadas so I can just imagine the views you were seeing. Christine xx

Hi Wendy
Love the black and white. Always looks chic.
Friends of ours live in Calahonda so we could've got them to let you have a pit stop lol! Have travelled from there through Spain by train and its a beautiful country.
Best wishes.
