A Stamped Image for Allsorts

 Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge time again and Helene has chosen a theme of

Use a Stamped Image

I used Johns Camelia Ring Elements stamp from back when he was with Creative Expressions.

I inked the backgrounds of both cards with Distress Oxides, I am still playing with these so there are a couple of strategically placed butterflies!!!

I think the next one is a Lavinia Stamp, not sure as it was given to me.

Both fairly simple card but pretty.

Groovi

 Good Morning All

Back to Groovi which I have got into again, hopefully we can start our classes again soon when it is safe to do so.

I did an online class with Tina Cox from Clarity.

It was how to stitch on your parchment work.

I have already shown this on the Groovi group page on Facebook so some of you may have already seen this first one.

I didn't have the same plate she was using so had compromise.

The stitching is on the flower petals, it looks very pretty but boy oh boy does it take some time as all parchment work does.

One I am working on at present is taking hours, I must have already spent about 3 hours on it and only half way through.

Back to this one, I laid it onto Clarity designer paper  just to take a photo, so not completely finished yet.

And here it is now finished.

These next two are from 2 plates I bought for the March class, but I am not able to make it now.

But the plates are really pretty and versatile.

Both backed onto Clarity paper with brads.

I have a good collection of Groovi cards for  friends here in Spain, as these are both 8x8".

Cute Little Lady

 Good Morning All

I am still trying to clear my box of ready made toppers or at least reduce it as I can barely get the lid on now.  I seem to enjoy making toppers and ephemera more than making cards these days .  I think it all depends on what I am watching on You Tube, maybe I should watch more -making cards- videos.

I dont know where this topper came from but I backed it onto some pretty paper from my stash with a die cut, also from stash.

Whenever I am die cutting, I dont like to leave part of the cutting plate empty, so I used odd bits of card and cut whatever will fit.  Then I store them in the correct colour co-ordinated folder.

I have a new Video today for JaneybJournals.

A beautiful digi kit.

Happy Sunday Challenge

I have a sketch for my Craft Club ladies this week, and you too, if you would like to join in.

Here is my card, I used an LOTV topper and cut it out with CE Pierced ovals.

Use Yellow for Allsorts

 Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge this week is hosted by Lynn and her theme is

Use Yellow

Which is not a fave colour of alot of people but I made this Groovi card and coloured the flowers Yellow.

It is matted onto pale yellow and then onto silver Mirri.

Yellow pearls on the corners, yellow sentiment tag and yellow butterflies.

 Good Morning All

I have been playing with a sheet of freebie prints on Cara Brandons Page on Facebook.

I decorated the tags with the bits provided.

The bits of lace are cut from a ladies top I got in the charity shop, waste not want not Haha.

These will go into my stash ready for my next journal or folio..I have a video on how I made these.

Anything Goes for Crafty Ribbons

 Good Morning All

I have been using my left over pieces from Crafty Ribbons.

I keep my earphones at the side of my chair and they are always getting tangled.  So I thought I would make these wraps to keep them tidy.

I bought myself a Snap (popper) machine after watching a video using them for closures on folios, so I thought it would come in quite handy.

I cut  a rectangle of felt then used the sewing machine to attached the short piece of ribbon.  Used the snap machine to attach the popper at each end.

MAWTT & Crafty Friends

 Good Morning All

As it is the 1st of the month, a new challenge starts over at Crafty Friends and Moving Along With The Times.

So first I shall show my Crafty Friends make.

so a nice easy one.

I have a lovely digi from our sponsor - Hetty Clare and I made my Grandaughters birthday card.

I coloured with Polychromos.

Here it is with her name added and a number.

I made another card for this challenge too.

Feminine for Allsorts

 Good Morning All

The theme for Allsorts Challenge this week is

Feminine

chosen by Ellie.

I made this card for Mum on Mothers day.

It came about because when I am cutting parchment pieces with the Picot dies from Clarity, I have squares of parchment left over, as I always place the die in the middle of the parchment or paper so that it could be used as a mat or border.

So I used the Charles border grid plate and matted onto a piece of Designer paper from Clarity too.

I used one of my favourite plates for the circle centre on pale green parchment.

Added some punched parchment flowers in the corners.

I will add a tag for Mothers Day.

More clearing out

 Good Morning All

Another card today made from clearing out some of my digi stamped images.

This image is from Ruth at Passion for Stamps, not sure if she is still in business.

The emboss folder is Mosaic leaves from Creative Expression.

I think the digi would have been coloured with Promarkers, it has been in my topper box for a good while waiting to be used.

I added a metal filigree corner and ribbon for the sentiment tag.

Here is a card I made using one of the parchment sentiments backed onto card coloured with alcohol inks that I showed on Tuesday,

This one is using her Tag bases, great to decorate or collage and can be used for cards too.

 Good Morning All

I have been sorting my photo file out and this is an oldie that I dont think I have posted.

Playing around with  paints to make backgrounds.

I used some of them for  backing parchment sentiments.

Alot cheaper than buying designer papers!!

Liz from my local Craft shop gave me a large Hearts Groovi plate for Christmas and here is a card I made for some lovely friends that recently got married.  

I should have added the names down the side but once started, I had to finish.
