Happy Sunday

Good Morning All

Happy Sunday to you all.

I am in the UK at present visiting Mums, just a short visit.

My challenge on Friday was a sketch.

The gifts I gave out at my Craft Club on Friday were some left from last week and some other odds.
As some ladies have been AWOL  I have had gifts left over.

I am running out of gift ideas so I will have to get my thinking cap on.

Spots Stripes for Allsorts

Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge this week is hosted by Kath and the theme is

Spots and / or Stripes.

I used both as these some smaller pieces of double sided card left over from another card.

I punched some circles out from leftover to add abit of contrast.

A cute Humphrey topper and the matching tag I stuck inside the card.

A Sketch for MAWTT

Good Morning All

Moving Along With The Times Challenge this time is a sketch chosen by Carole from Team A.

As some of you may know, I have stepped down from running this challenge blog and Diane has taken over the reins.

I shall be staying on Team a for the time being and here is my card using Caroles sketch.

Another Christmas card and I think the image is Katy Sue.

Some snips of waste card that I cut and curved at the end to match the sketch.

Matted onto Snowflake embossed Mirri card.

Crafty Ribbons

Good Morning All

My turn to show a Crafty Ribbons creation today and I have used the Unicorn ribbons again.

The pockets are made from the Advent Ribbon so, using the number, made a 17th birthday card.

Added two strips of the pretty unicorn ribbon along the side.

All matted onto Hearts EF.

Very similar design using the number 10.

The pocket could hold a gift voucher or money or just another little card as mine does.

Christmas tags

Good Morning All

At my Craft Club on Friday I took a tray of Christmas bits with me and set about making my tags for gifts.

It is a great way of using scraps of Ribbon and lace etc.

I had already stamped some sentiments from John (JND)

My scrunched up Poinsettia, there is a tutorial on top of my blog.

And lots of pieces of ribbon from Crafty Ribbons, link in sidebar.

I made 10 so I need afew more yet.

Crafty Ribbons Unicorn Launch & Penny Black GDT & Happy Sunday

Good Morning All

Crafty Ribbons have launched some wonderful Unicorn ribbons this week and here are my two cards using  two of the ribbons, available HERE

They both feature the Advent calendar Ribbon  which I cut and made pockets.

This one I covered the number with a crinkled poinsettia and slipped a little card in the pocket.

The note has the ribbon with the word Love on.

I added a band of the narrow ribbon across the bottom.

All matted onto a mirri circle and embossed snowflake card.

This one I made into a Baby's  1st Christmas card using the No. 1 from the Advent Ribbon.

Similar to the first card just different colour Mirri.

I added a sweet little bell charm to the narrow ribbon.

PENNY BLACK - Theme In The Pink

As you may know,  being an Allsorts DT member we can participate in the Penny Black at Allsorts DT too.

I used one of Penny Blacks older stamps 3916K The Light Brigade

Coloured with Polychromos.

Matted onto embossed Pink card

Sentiment Ribbon from Crafty Ribbons

Narrow satin ribbon from my craft shop and added two jingle bell charms

Doily die from Crafters Companion

Left the sentiment blank as I think I shall use this card for one of my Grand kids and will add their name.

Ribbon for Allsorts

Good Morning All

It is my turn to host Allsorts Challenge this week and I have chosen

Ribbons

I had a bundle of narrow ribbon so I thought I would weave them to make a background.

I have kept the toppers to a minimum to show it off.

I wouldn't like to tell you how long it took me to do the weaving, absolutely ages!!!!

But worth it I think.
I am going to send this to my Mum for her birthday next month as it is so pretty.

I would also like to show this wall hanging that Dawn, from my Craft Club was making last week.
Her hubby made the frame for her to weave Ribbon and Wool to make this pretty Home decor item.
She used some lovely glittery wide ribbon.
Isn't it a good idea?

Paperclip Swap

Good Morning All

I do like to enter swaps on Scrimpys Facebook page.

I do have to limit them as postage costs soon mount up.

This one was to make 5 Shabby Chic Paperclips.

I made a book for them to display in.

I used a cereal box to make the book.

I added afew dangle charms too.

I hope my swap partner likes it when it arrives.

Lemon Crochet

Good Morning All

I always have some sort of Crochet on the go.

Here is a shawl I have just finished in lovely soft Lemon and White DK wool.

When I am looking for a new pattern, I browse You tube and pick one from there.

I have a couple of favourite crocheters so I check them out first.

Happy Sunday & Challenge

Good Morning All

My Groovi Workshop went very well on Tuesday and all the ladies signed up for the next one in two weeks time.

I had three Groovi virgins and they all bought the starting tools needed so that was good for the shop too.
