Random Org chose number 11

AG for Crafty Ribbons

 Good Morning All

Crafty Ribbons time again and it is an easy one

Anything Goes

I made a large 8x8 card as I am using a piece of Designer card from Clarity which I cut the middle from, so used it as a mat.

I used one of the Grid Italy plates and the topper is from Clarity too, one of their Poppets.

I added a lovely piece of  French Cotton Lace along the side and , as usual, tied my sentiment tag on with ribbon, this time it is seam binding.  There is a massive range of colours and at great prices too.

I,m showing this card but it has been seen on Facebook.

I made it back in Feb at a Zoom workshop with Tina Cox, so it has been shown on the Groovi worldwide page.

I used the same seam binding for the sentiment tag.

There is always a colour to suit and if not you can use your inks to colour a white or cream one.

Happy Sunday Challenge

 Good Morning All

My challenge for my Craft Club ladies and yourselves if you wish to join in, was to use lots of Buttons.

I gave them each a bag of buttons, mixed sizes but all the same colour tones.

I have made afew cards like this, especially for St. Valentines day back in Feb, infact, that is when I made this card, getting it ready for the challenge, but as we were not able to meet, I have had to save it until now.

The gifts I gave out were a mix of the pens I showed last week and some sweets

like chocolate M & M's

Last weeks challenge was a sketch

Not Keen

 Good Morning All

Do you ever make cards , look at them, then realise you are not that keen on them??

Well  this is these two.

Not sure why but that's the way it is.  They will go in the charity box to raise money for the dog rescue shelter.

We decided to have afew days away last week and we went 15km down the road, Dont laugh.

It was good to get away and explore a town we live so close to yet never go very much.

I dont like driving to Torrevieja as the streets are very narrow and lots of one way, which is very typically Spanish old towns.

At least now I know my way around abit more and we enjoyed it.

Here are afew pics.

There are lots of little beaches and they  look very safe for little ones to play in the sea.

Normally at this time of year you would never find a parking space but at present it is lovely.  Nice to walk around, not too crowded and not too hot although temps did reach 37 on Sunday but it felt nice and fresh with the sea breeze.

Happy Sunday Challenge

 Good Morning All

We have had afew relaxations in our rules re: covid.

Now 10 people can meet but Liz at Craft Shop, would prefer keeping it to 8 at present in the shop so I had afew more at Club on Friday.

The challenge I set them was another sketch and one I have used before.

This is my card using a die cut from Creative Expressions for the sentiment.

I added a large parchment flower and and dangle charm on the ribbon.

All matted onto embossed Leaf Mosaic card .

Some of the ladies got a pen and other got chocolate as their gifts.

Onto last weeks challenge which was to use 2 or more butterflies, so a nice easy one.

Anything Goes for Allsorts

 Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge this week is Anything Goes

I made two cards for this one as I was enjoying using some tags I had received in a swap years ago, and I embellished them up abit more.

I matted them onto pink card and some Docrafts shiny paper.

Then went on and added a gem butterfly, a gem flower and some pearls in the bottom corners.

On this one I added some Nuevo drops to the butterflies and there are pearls and a gem on the tag.

Happy Groovi

 Good Morning All

I treated myself to a new Groovi plate when Clarity had a sale on last month.

I do have to be careful what I order now since Brexit as we have to pay import tax on certain items.

I had this brought over with a courier company so wasn't too expensive as they charge by weight.

This plate came about when Barbara Gray started her doodling online when the pandemic started, then the company made it into a Groovi plate.

I thought it would be useful for Birthdays, Anniversary's and anything HAPPY.

This one I made into a 5x7 card, using black parchment.

I did need to use a light panel to work on black though.

This, I made into a 6x6 card, white parchment backed onto blue designer paper.

Both very simple and easy to make as no snipping or embossing, well a tiny bit on the blue one - white dots.

So two fairly quick cards for the box.
