About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Scrappy Box

Good Afternoon All
I have been busy all day crafting.  I have a box/tray on my desk full of bits -- off cuts, negatives of diecuts, images, ribbon, allsorts.  So I have put some away where they belong but all the rest, I thought I would set myself a mission, no other cards until all these bits are used.

I started off with pink bits.   I was going to use the  pink flower and border matted onto grey card, but, stupid me stuck the DST on the wrong side and ended up with........................

this orangey card and instead of wasting it I thought I would go for another colour scheme, mmmmm.

So this is card NO. 1

I think it looks pretty good.

So, onto card NO. 2

The Cheery Lynn heart did not cut out properly, and, as you know, I can't throw stuff away, so I stuck a diecut over it.

Card NO. 3

A Forever Friends image, embossed white card has been there for months.  Negative from a border diecut.  Punched flowers, again, have been there for months.

Card NO. 4

Again, this did not cut out properly, so covered it up with sentiment and a Marianne butterfly.

Card NO.5
Negative from a Cross Diecut matted onto shades of blue card, sentiment, ribbon and peace lily added.

I was sent these sillouettes in some candy, was not sure how to use them but dont look too bad.  My white embossed card was crooked so covered it with feathers!!!                                  So this is NO. 6

Card NO. 7

I wasn't keen on my colouring for this image but I couldn't throw it.  Just added borders, ribbon and gems.
I still have afew bits left so will carry on and make afew more today, but first I have to do some blog hopping as today is the start of Allsorts Challenge (see post below)
AND FINALLY
Last few bits all used now.  Wow I feel so good.
