About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Pink Humphrey

Good Morning All
Another quick card I have put together for the craft meet today
I thought I could cut out the decoupage images, infact, these Humphrey are all die cut so that is great.

Afew gems, ribbon bows, matting and layering and that's it.
I want to try to get half a dozen designs together and I thought I would put up 4 of each design.

Easy Blue

Good Morning All
First I want to say 'Happy Birthday' to my Brother In Law Barry
Gill - will you pass on my love to him on the big 65
**********
Second I want to tell you that I had to give in to the pain in my back and go to the Doctor on Monday.
Appointment at 11am, prescription to Pharmacia to get 6 injections, back to Doctor to have 1 injection in my bum, straight to hospital with letter from Doctor to have an Xray, 5 minute wait from going to reception, called in for Xray, 20 minute wait then handed envelope with a CD and report in, back home by1.35pm.  I have to go to Doctor each morning this week to have an injection, and take the results from Xray with me today for him to look at.  Touch wood, last night I was feeling abit better.

I just want to share a  quick card with you today as I have been asked by a lady at our craft meeting on Thursday mornings if I could put some card packs together for some  non-crafters who may turn up.

This is one idea I had.  I want to show them that you can make a card out of very little stash.

I used a 5 x 5 blue card blank
Darice embossing folder inked along sides
Homemade sentiment
Satin ribbon
Blue tulip
Blue gem
Cut and fold paper flower (not sure where from)

Second Image

Good Morning All
Here is the other card I mentioned yesterday using the same image but coloured  this time with Spectrum Noir pens.  I was going to colour the wrap in purples but one of the pens had dried up so I had to go for blues instead.

I kept it very simple again, just matted and layered with patterned double sided  paper from Tatty Teddies 'Me To You' range.  Spellbinders scalloped circles for image and stamped sentiment.

CAS freebie

Good Morning All

I received a free download from Crafters Companion yesterday via Facebook and here is a very CAS card I made with it.

This just shows that cards can be made using very few tools and stash.  This is a  5 x 5 card blank, matted with black card.  The image was printed from computer and not coloured, I cut it with Sissix scalloped square die but could be cut using fancy edged scissors, and cut smallest square with the same die set.  Stuck some opaque gems on and that is it.  I think it looks pretty good and took about 5 minutes to make.
I will be showing the one I coloured in tomorrow.
