About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

I Love ................ for Allsorts & Belated Birthday

Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge time again and as we had our Birthday during lockdown Brenda thought it wise to delay our Birthday celebrations until a more suitable time.
Brenda has a wonderful prize of an Arteza Pen set
Plus there will be more on some of the DT's blogs too.

The theme is I Love........
Well where do I start.
I Love crafting
I Love Lace
I Love Junk Journals
I Love Notebooks
I just love making stuff.
I made this Notebook using pretty papers and lacy doilies and lots of pretty stuff.
This is the front using JND Poinsettias and Gerbera flowers.

The back

Inside and the cute dress paperclip is a tutorial by Gi Kerr.

We have a new sponsor joining us, Pinksy Doodles,  and she sent us some lovely digi papers to work with.

Here is a card I made using two of them.
I used a circle paper punch to make the sort of windmill and now I am wondering if it needs a gem in the centre????
The lovely spotty ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons and I found this strange button in my button box.
It had long gaps instead of holes so I threaded some of the ribbon through it and added it to hide a smudge on my homemade sentiment.
A fairly CAS card but I quite like it.

I hope you will join us in our Birthday celebrations and visit the other design team members too to see prizes on offer.
I will give a prize ---- This  folio which is quite large, more like a lapbook
Plus I shall add some homemade embellishments too which I shall add into the parcel.

I will draw a winner next Saturday  on My Allsorts post .
Xxxxxxxx

Your notebook is absolutely gorgeous, Wendy! I love the pretty doily and gorgeous flowers on the cover! I like all the pockets, tags, and tucks inside! I'm just starting to make junk journals myself so I can appreiate all the work that goes into making them. I've been following some YouTube vidoes to figure it all out. I just noticed your cute dress paperclip, so fun! You did an amazing job with this notebook/journal! Love your CAS card too - the windmill is so cool - I like your fun dots theme! Thank you so much for the AWESOME prize - please count me in - I would be THRILLED to win your folio! I also want to wish a Happy Belated Birthday to Allsorts, and thank you for your wonderful inspiration!

Wow, what a fabulous and beautiful folio! Love the adorable dress clip. And what a thoughtful & generous prize. Once in awhile, I receive a handmade card from someone and love to display them in my craft room. Someone will be very lucky to receive it. ;-)
