About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Elegant Swirl

Good Morning All
Welcome to my latest follower, Gumbek Craft, (sorry but I could not link to your blog but will keep trying), I hope you enjoy your visits.
*********
Last night I went into my blog to enter afew challenges and some of the photos had changed, so I had to go in again and put the correct ones there, has this happened to anyone else?  It  happened to me first  in January, really creepy.

Todays card features  two Spellbinders dies, Heartfelt Creations Layered Elegant Swirl
and
  Grommet Tags

I have done this style of card before.

I used one of the Grommets tags on the outside and one on the inside, there is, infact three in the pack.

My Minds Eye paper and I've used the remainder for the inside once I had cut pieces for the fronts.  I have started doing this so that I am not left with loads of odd pieces of paper.

Dies Total = 48

This is the bag I made to put Susies album in.
I found the tutorial on You Tube HERE

Below are my first couple of attempts and she makes them from all types of paper.  This one I made by joining 2 pieces of 12 x 12 paper to get a bag that was about 9 x 10".

Afternoon Wendy, a great card today- love the idea of the folded back filigree part. I bet you are really enjoying using your dies again. Especially, if you are like me and haven't used some for quite a while (or at all !!!!). I'm afraid I've got dies that I haven't used and are still pristine in the packets. You are learning well from John-next-door with tutorials ...... will we be seeing you on C&C ???? Have a good afternoon/evening. Janice xx

Hi Wendy
Sorry for the delay. Busy few days.
A wonderful design. Love how you've done the filigree fold out on the front.
I think you got the gromits as a paddle prize lol!
The bag is terrific. I've only ever made mine with card so they're quite stiff. Will have to give paper a go.
Have a great weekend.
