About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Book Folding Sister

Good Morning All
Hope you are having a good week.
I have been Book Folding again, I have joined a group on Facebook, dedicated to this art, and some of the ladies design patterns and ask for volunteers to try them out, and this one of them.

The pattern was designed by Hayley Whytock and her Etsy shop is HERE

I inked the edges of the pages first.

Then I covered the front and back with
My Minds Eye paper and stuck pink Glitter paper on inside covers.

Some of the books I have have a red line across the pages as they are bought from the local card shop, and they will exchange them, so they mark them. So I had t think of a way of covering the red line.

I bought this pretty pink leafy ribbon at local China store for 95 cents a roll, very pretty isn't it?  It sort of holds the book together.  I added a couple of parchment flowers and a butterfly on the top.  All stuck on with glue gun.

I,m really pleased with how this has turned out and now the problem I have, is which Sister to give it to !!!!!!

Watch out as I have volunteered for another pattern of a TRAIN, part done as I write this, so will post when complete.  I have also decorated the book 'Love' I showed yesterday, so I will show that another day.  And the heart within a heart I showed yesterday, I decorated up and gave it to my friend here in Spain, she posted it on Facebook HERE.

                                                xxxxx
