About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have a daughter, Aurora, born March 2015. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. xxxx

Penny Black & More

Good Morning All

This is my card for the guest DT spot at Penny Black and More, this comes about as being in the Allsorts team we do a guest spot over there too.

I used this gorgeous Penny Black stamp and coloured it with Promarkers.  Homemade sentiments and tags.  Different types of ribbon and bows and a lemon doily.
I have started decorating the inside of my cards, partly to use up smaller pieces of  card and paper, so if I cut a card up for the matting and layering on the front, I have apiece left, I try to use it on the inside, as I have done here.

  2. This is fabulous Wendy, beautiful image, unusual choice of colours Lemon & Pink but the work well together making a fresh, colourful card.

I too have thought about decorating the insides of my cards as once cut there never seems to be enough card to put on the top of another one so I have loads of scrap card left lol!

Sorry you did not win the blog candy I know how much you wanted it.

    Love & Hugs

  14. I try to do the insides of my cards too or even the back sometimes if that is where the greeting needs to go. Gives a more finished look I think to the cards that you give. I love the image on your card and the coloured doily. Hugs Mrs A.
