I used a sweet LOTV topper for my card.

Afew Groovi Scraps

 Good Morning All

Following on from a post last week using some of my Groovi scraps ready cut.

When I am using my die cutting machine I do try to fill the plate and then I end up with lots of pieces ready cut and they are all shoved in a box or a bag, so I thought I had better get using them.

So here  are two cards.

They are both  matted onto CE Butterflies EF.

This one I used a piece of ribbon from Crafty Ribbons UK (link in sidebar)

I do love making these butterflies and the plate must be my most used.

I'm happy with how they both turned out.

I saw this little guy the other morning, I think he was drying out from the morning dew.

MAWTT & Crafty Friends Challenges

  Good Morning All

As its the 1st of the month, it is time for  the challenges to start.

First is Crafty Friends which is

Christmas

I used some hessian as a backing which has gold stars on it.

The image is from my Junk Journal stash.

Now onto Moving Along With The Times Challenge and the theme has been chosen by Tinz

Bright on Dark

Now this was abit of a challenge for me but I went with a darker blue mat with black mesh on for the backing then chose a bird with a bright yellow breast for the topper.

I hope Tinz thinks it fits her theme OK.

Christmas Crackers

 Good Morning All

The Cracker die from John (JND) is probably the most used of all my dies, and I have lots!!!!

Each year I make about 20 crackers using it to give all my class ladies and neighbours.  I fill with sweets which I buy when I visit UK as we like Heroes or Quality street etc and alot cheaper in UK than here.

I have used plain card for most of them and left one end open ready for the sweets.

I used Johns Poisettias too for decoration.

Now the die is being passed around my craft club ladies who all want to use it.

Groovi

 Good Morning All

When I was at Groovi Class the other week I had in the box, loads of pieces of cut parchment,  Butterflies, Squares, Circles and Ovals.  So I decided I needed to  get on top of them and use them.

I took some to Ibiza too to doodle about with so there will be more to come.

So this is one card I made with some.

I used a square to write Happy Birthday Sister and the paper from LOTV worked well with it I think.

I will keep this one for my use.

As this goes live we will be in Ibiza, so I was not at Craft on Friday so there is no challenge this week.

Last weeks Black & White theme carries through for another week.

These are three cards I made at group a while ago. I make the toppers then make into cards when I get home.

This one is an LOTV Topper for a Man card.

The next two are images from a Ukranian seller and I used as toppers

Concertina Box Cards

Good Morning All

I have made Concertina Box cards for all my Grandkids.

I have used all bits from my stash and added a little sentiment tag with their name on, on the front.

They open into this and will stand up too.

The front and the back are glued into the lid and the base.

It is a great way of using the smaller images  too.

I have  made little envelopes to go inside and I will add  money too.

Crochet -Shawl for a Boy & a Girl

 Good Morning All

As you know I do like to crochet while watching TV and I made this lovely shawl,  It is about 36 x 36 inch and it is done in rounds not row by row.

The tutorial is Here from Maisie & Ruth on You Tube.

The wool I chose is DK and very soft.

One of my Craft ladies, Maggie has bought if it for her unborn great grandchild, she wanted another in pink as she doesn't know the sex yet.

So I made another in pink!!!

It is very easy and the video is very easy to follow.

We are off on our jollies today, Ibiza here we come, so the next 3 or 4 posts are scheduled but I will try to keep my eye on things.

I let the ladies choose a couple of pieces of paper from my stash.

The gifts I gave out were from previous weeks, so a lucky dip really.

Dawn made a Pass the Parcel too so we each paid 1 euro and played which was fun and we raised about 15 euro as they paid for a biscuit too.

All for my two charities and a bit of fun too.
