Stick Pins and a reminder for Allsorts Challenge

 Good Morning All

Just a reminder that Allsorts Challenge runs for 2 weeks over the Summer

The theme is Masculine and this was the card I showed last week.

While it is so hot, I tend to stay in the living room and craft so I have been , making lots of Stick pins and books to put them in to send with swaps and gifts when we start posting again.

The booklets are about 3 x 5 inch and hold 6 pins.I have decorated with snips of ribbon and lace from Crafty Ribbons.

Flowers for MAWTT

Good Morning All

Before I start MAWTT post.

This was posted on our DT blog by one of my team.

This was just posted on the Crafters Companion fan page - as we are quite a multinational team(!) just wondered if any of you would like to contribute to bring some joy to this little girl

Can I ask Family & Friends please as u all know  Maddie Is 7 Years old and has a terminal Cancerous Brain Tumour called Glioblastoma Multiforme and we are doing everything we can to make her happy during whatever time she has left. Maddison loves receiving post , Cards, Letters, Pictures etc we signed up to Post Pals and she's received a few cards from different parts of england and even 2 from Spain she loves looking on the map to see how far the Post has travelled she does this during quiet time in the afternoons when she's tired from her Radiotherapy while snuggling under her blanket on the sofa. So can I ask if you could send her a card or letter or even a picture thru the post and make her smile (NO Get well soon cards please as these are not appropriate but YES to Thinking of you or Best Wishes or even Plain cards with a picture on) if you could do this for us it would really make her day :) Thank You xxx

Christmas Lights for Allsorts

I love my LOTV toppers which I dont think they do anymore, such a shame.

Pretty Purple Peonies

Good Morning All

I love how this card turned out.

Pretty Pink Peonies

Good Morning All

Nice to be in UK but it is COLD.

Very happy with this one.

I have had the peonies stamped for ages so sat down on Friday morning and die cut them all out, there was two A4 sheets of them.  Then took them to craft meet and painted them, then when I got home I stuck them together, so got quite afew now to adorn my cards.

I had to twiggle the pearl string, they looked like they were in a circle in the first pic.

Stick Pins

Good Morning All

Definate change in the temperature this weekend.  I was given a very lightweight fleece by some friends of ours that run a Car business on the high street in our village. 

 It is just perfect for this time of year.

Excuse my bed head hair LOL.

I have been making more stick pins in Christmas colours.

I have been joining in some swaps on Facebook so I will be including some in those, aswell as making some to sell at the Christmas Fayre.

I love making these as I can sit and do them at night while watching TV.

I love these vibrant colours.

I have made a very pretty fabric book for some of these to go in on the stall too.  I shall show you that another day.

Mug for Stick Pins

Good Morning All

I decided to make another item to store my homemade stick pins in on my desk.

I had some polystyrene balls that John Next Door had left when he returned to UK.

So I used one of the larger ones and a coffee mug that someone had bought and left here.
There are two sizes of balls so I will have to think of something for the smaller ones.

I covered with decoupage papers from Creative Expressions.

This is it finished.


Added pink frilly lace, cream lace and a crochet doily over the top.

I glued some Cheery Lynn paper roses around the base and glues some pearls in the middles.
I made a base from cardboard circles.

These are some long stick pins I made a while ago.

So pretty.

Fancy Stick Pins

Good Morning All

I have been in my craft room at last and spending quite a bit of time in there.

This is what I have been up to.

Used 1" lace to make a flower.

I make the lace bases while watching TV at night

then use the hot glue gun to stick together the next day.

I  have used all types of embellishments on these -

Feathers

Giant Fabric Book

Good Morning All

As some of you may know I have not been too good.

I am finding it hard to craft or do anything at present but I am trying to force myself to do things, even housework, swimming and blogging.

Hence, I thought I would show this Fabric Book I made before I went to UK in June.

It is rather large as it is made from a pillowcase.

This is the completed item.

 I bought a quilt cover and one pillowcase from a charity shop for afew euros.

This is the pillowcase, folded and I made two lots with it so there are four pages in my book.

This will be the outside, covered with lace, see pics further down.

I folded it up so that I had pockets too.

This is a tray cloth that I edged with binding to give it strength to make another pocket on the other page.

Then I just  added as much or a litlle embellishments as I wanted - doilies, hand crochet, broderie anglais trim, lace, dazzlers etc.

I finally sorted through all my charms and put them on put them on large safety pins and pinned them in.

Then added  Stick Pins and Embellishments I have made.

It is rather large, about A4 size but I love it and it takes pride of place on my coffee table in my craft room, ready for when I want to browse for embellishments.
