Butterflies & Bugs for Allsorts

 Good Morning All

It is my turn to host Allsorts Challenge this week and I went with 

Butterflies & Bugs

I had this large layered butterfly on my desk so I thought I would make that the focal point.

Once again, I used an Oxide background which I had spritzed with water to make it abit blotchy.

I also had the Parchment circle on my desk too and thought that would match.

I stuck  the butterfly on and added cheesecloth under it.

Then stamped some tiny bugs, dragonflies and butterflies from a couple of Johns (JND) early stamp sets.

Here is a Baby card using a topper from LOTV and the hearts is a Creative Expressions EF.

Quite a quick card to make once all the elements are done.  I do keep a folder with embossed card in then it is ready to use when I want a quick card.

Good Morning All

You may have noticed that I didn't post on Sunday and that was because ther was no Craft Club on Friday as the shop was shut for their holidays, so my challenge will run until Friday this week.

My card today is a Groovi card with lots of snipping.  I am trying to use different plates in my work and this one used  4 or 5 I think.

Just a bit of news, if you didnt see my blog post on Saturday, I have been accepted onto Cara Brandons Design team, she designs DIGI kits for journals.

Here is my 1st Design Team Project.

Magical world for Allsorts

 Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge this week is hosted by Tracy and her theme is

Magical Worlds

I used one of the backgrounds I have made with Oxides and ran it through the CE Butterfly Dreams Emboss folder.

I found a tag I had cut on my desk in a Mint green so I stamped it using Seeing is Believing stamp.

I added a fairy charm to the ribbon on the tag and punched some tiny butterflies.

I have some wonderful news, I have been accepted onto Cara Brandon Design Team.

Cara designs some wonderful Digi kits for journals so I am so excited and look forward to working with the other ladies.

I used an image from Crafters companion sheet, I think it is Humphrey.

Matted onto some gingham card and added a torn piece of vellum at the side and blinged it up abit with gems.

 Good Morning All

I was sorting some stuff out upstairs and I found a bag of tags I made to sell at a Craft Fair ages ago, so I took them downstairs and used them as toppers for cards for the charity box.

I am quite happy with how they turned out.

I would also like to thank all the people that donated on my Birthday Charity link on Facebook for

La Finca dog rescue.

I think, upto now, there is 160 and I had an ask of 150gbp.  So that is all good and Facebook will sent the money over to the dogs next week I think.

Art Deco for MAWTT

 Good Morning All

Moving Along With The Times goes first today with the theme

Art Deco

Chosen by our Mrs Duck, Ang.

Now I did not have a thing to suit this theme, then my friend Helen, works in a charity shop here in Spain and she brought a folder full of bits of paper and card for me.

And guess what was in it, yes, some Art Deco images and papers and this is one of them.

The paper was as is, I just cut it to size and matted onto black card.

I cut the lady out and stuck her onto a small doily.

I love this time of year in Spain, nice weather, although we have had unusual amounts of rain in May.

So, pleasant weather, swallows or house martins migrating and nesting here, flowers are out and the Jacaranda trees are in flower.

Happy Sunday Challenge

My challenge for the craft ladies this week was to make something from a piece of paper I gave them, so really it is Anything Goes, for those that want to enter and were not at club.

Celebration for Allsorts

I made a Groovi card for Anniversary using a plate a good friend  lent to me.

I snipped out some areas and backed onto Clarity Designer paper.

AG for Crafty Ribbons

 Good Morning All

Crafty Ribbons time again and it is an easy one

Anything Goes

I made a large 8x8 card as I am using a piece of Designer card from Clarity which I cut the middle from, so used it as a mat.

I used one of the Grid Italy plates and the topper is from Clarity too, one of their Poppets.

I added a lovely piece of  French Cotton Lace along the side and , as usual, tied my sentiment tag on with ribbon, this time it is seam binding.  There is a massive range of colours and at great prices too.

I,m showing this card but it has been seen on Facebook.

I made it back in Feb at a Zoom workshop with Tina Cox, so it has been shown on the Groovi worldwide page.

I used the same seam binding for the sentiment tag.

There is always a colour to suit and if not you can use your inks to colour a white or cream one.

Happy Sunday Challenge

 Good Morning All

My challenge for my Craft Club ladies and yourselves if you wish to join in, was to use lots of Buttons.

I gave them each a bag of buttons, mixed sizes but all the same colour tones.

I have made afew cards like this, especially for St. Valentines day back in Feb, infact, that is when I made this card, getting it ready for the challenge, but as we were not able to meet, I have had to save it until now.

The gifts I gave out were a mix of the pens I showed last week and some sweets 

like chocolate M & M's
