Anything Goes for Allsorts

 Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge this week is Anything Goes 

I made two cards for this one as I was enjoying using some tags I had received in a swap years ago, and I embellished them up abit more.

I matted them onto pink card and some Docrafts shiny paper.

Then went on and added a gem butterfly, a gem flower and some pearls in the bottom corners.

On this one I added some Nuevo drops to the butterflies and there are pearls and a gem on the tag.

Happy Groovi

 Good Morning All

I treated myself to a new Groovi plate when Clarity had a sale on last month.

I do have to be careful what I order now since Brexit as we have to pay import tax on certain items.

I had this brought over with a courier company so wasn't too expensive as they charge by weight.

This plate came about when Barbara Gray started her doodling online when the pandemic started, then the company made it into a Groovi plate.

I thought it would be useful for Birthdays, Anniversary's and anything HAPPY.

This one I made into a 5x7 card, using black parchment.

I did need to use a light panel to work on black though.

This, I made into a 6x6 card, white parchment backed onto blue designer paper.

Both very simple and easy to make as no snipping or embossing, well a tiny bit on the blue one - white dots.

So two fairly quick cards for the box.

Double Notebook Folder

 Good Morning All

Here are a couple of notebooks I made following a tutorial by Treasure Books on You Tube

I gave these as gifts when I did my Junk Journal class at the end of April and the ladies loved them.

Here are the fronts and I made closures with ribbon and lace from Crafty Ribbons (link in sidebar)

This shows the notebooks, you could add a 3rd.

The reverse side has numerous pockets in which I added little journal cards from Antique Paperie on Etsy

Natasia from Treasure Books calls these an Accordian Pocket book.

I enjoyed making them and they do make a lovely, useful gift.

Happy Sunday Challenge

There is no sentiment on this as I will be using it to send with a swap and I dont write in them either so that the recipient can use.

This is the style of houses they are building at the back of us, not my cuppa but probably cheaper than traditional houses with tiled roof.

Landscape Scene for Allsorts

 Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge time again and Lynn has chosen the theme this week

Make a Landscape / Scene

So I got my Groovi plates out and came up with this cute cottage (from a monthly subscribers plate) and a landscape plate from the Groovi starter kit.

The border pattern is made with the Border Platemate that was released in March.

All backed onto Clarity Designer paper.

Prize on offer this week is Rare Earth Beautiful Blooms

Here are a couple of pics from my walks this week.

The first one is another tiny flower, very similar to the blue one I showed the other day.

They are tiny flowers, about 1cm

We have a TV ariel on the community and this is a Hoopi bird sat at the top.

He has a curly crest on top of his head which looks like it is pointed backwards on this pic, but we were fortunate to see one land the other day with it spread out right across the top of his head, very beautiful.

I think they must be mating and nesting as I see quite afew at this time of year.

Sunshine for River of Creativity

 Good Morning All

The first challenge for River of Creativity is

Sunshine

I played around with my Oxide inks, which I should do more often as I enjoyed it.

Then, very simply, stamped using a wood mount Penny Black 3602K Dotted Petals.

The words are stickers from Clarity which I bought in the members sale, I had always wanted them so treated myself when they were half price.

I added afew of Johns (JND) tiny butterflies and dragonflies from  his early sets.

I painted the flower after stamping with Distress inks, never done this before but really happy with how it turned out.

There are some wonderful makes by the DT and we all have very different ways of crafting, very diverse - Stamping, Mixed Media etc.

Italian Groovi

 Good Morning All

I hope you all had a good May day weekend, it was also Mothers day here in Spain on Sunday aswell as Labour day on Saturday  1st.

I made this card last month and it is using a Grid from the Italian collection by Josie Davies, Clarity.

I do love using these grid plates, alot of work but worth it.

On my daily walks with Rico I see quite afew wild flowers and these caught my eye, such a brigh blue and so tiny, about 1cm.

I will see you tomorrow with my first DT make for River of Creativity.
