I hope you enjoy your visit to my blog, mainly card making but I now have six Grand children, five girls and a boy. As I love these kids so much I can't help showing an odd picture of them now and again. I really need to get into Scrapbooking too, loads of pics to use. I do some knitting and crocheting too. I also have a page on Facebook - Wendy's Crafty Crafts where I have a fun challenge most weeks.
Hi.
I live
in Spain
with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum.
Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him.
I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx
I have been playing with my New Groovi Plate monthly subscription plate which I thought was perfectly apt for the start of a new year after the one we have just had.
This one I posted to my sister Carol and asked her to share with my other sister, Gill.
I am not sure if I mentioned but we lost our other sister, Sylvia and December 3rd.
She had dementia and the contracted Covid.
This is actually on purple parchment.
And this one is one a medium green parchment.
I only did White work (embossing) and I didn't think they needed any colour adding.
I decided on a sketch to start the 2021 Challenges off.
My card
Embossed Butterfly Centura pearl card.
Lily of the Valley image coloured and mounted onto 2 different shades of green card.
Green and white ribbon on side with sentiment tied on and a couple of ribbon flowers added.
Sketch to follow
Everyone is welcome to join in.

We have new restrictions brought in on Thursday last week so our Craft Club is suspended until further notice, so this will give me a chance to build up my stash of gifts for the ladies.
The craft shop is still open and we could meet but only 4 to a table and well spread out so Liz and Paul thought it best to be safe than sorry which is good.
I know 2 couples personally that have the virus and it is not pleasant although they are still at home fortunately, but quite ill.

The theme is
Anything Goes
Our sponsor is Chocolate Baroque
Chocolate Baroque is a small independent art and craft company, based in the historic market town of Barnard Castle in County Durham in the North-East of England and is owned and run by Lesley Wharton.
We design our own range of natural rubber art stamps from Sue's hand drawn originals, complemented by typography from Lesley. The rubber stamps are made in house, by David, to our very exacting quality
I have had this Groovi frame made for quite a while and I saw this idea of using can tabs on Pinterest.
As we have alot of these which I usually give to my crafty friend Jen, to make handbags.
I found 2 red ones in the bag, which I thought were nice.
I added cream seam binding to those two and organza ribbon to the other.
The darker pink mat is an piece from a card I received, thats why there is a flower on the bottom corner, but I thought it looked OK.
It is my turn to post for Crafty Ribbons today and it is
Anything Goes
I saw a video on You Tube by Natasia at Treasure Books showing how to make these lovely books from 1 sheet of 12x12 card. And as I have loads of 12x12's I got to work.
I have uploaded a video to show my take on them too.
All the ribbon used is from Crafty Ribbons store.
The card I used was all double sided which is obviously better.
I decorated with embellishments form Gi (Happiness in Crafting), some words from Vectoria Designs and scraps from my box.
