 Good Morning All

I only make a couple of Valentine Cards to go in the box at the Craft Shop and this is one of them, plus another of similar style but a Birthday card.

The flowers are from  digital Junk Journal kit and I think the papers are LOTV.

I used some scraps of embossed card

The Craft Shop has a sale on after Christmas and I bought this lovely, multi coloured chunky wool.

I crochet hats and cowls for the homeless.

I can get about 2 per night done so I have  nice bundle on a Friday to take for the lady who distributes them.

I got about 14 balls and each hat takes about 1 ball.

My craft ladies give me all their odd balls of wool and I use them for the homeless or blankets for the dogs.  Nothing goes to waste.

It would have been my Dads birthday today.  I think he was a similar age to Mum and she is 97 I think but he has been gone for over 20 years.

Its surprising how often I think of him just lately, I dont know why.

AG for Allsorts with option of RED flowers

 Good Morning All

It is my turn to host the Allsorts Challenge this week and the theme is

Anything Goes with an option of adding Red Flowers.

I brought my Groovi Heart plate out, a nice easy one to use.

I added some gems to the finished piece and 3 quilled flowers and a groovi leaf in the bottom corner.

I added this to the charity box at the craft shop as I thought it would sell for St. Valentines day.

Prize on offer this week is  co ordinating paper pad and stamp set from Craftstash UK

AG for Crafty Ribbons

 Good Morning All

It is my turn to post for Crafty Ribbons  and, if you are a regular visitor you will know I make boxes for little gifts to give to my Craft Club ladies each week when we meet on Fridays.

When I was in the UK in December I bought these bags of sweets from The Range.  Some are jelly babies, Jelly beans, Fried Eggs but all yummy.

To hold the box closed I added a belly band made from card and then wrapped a piece of ribbon around it.

The ribbon has Lady Birds and Bees on and I had one piece of All My Love ribbon

Love Wedding Anniversary for MAWTT

 Good Morning All

Moving Along With The Times Challenge  theme has been chosen by Jenny and it is

Love, Wedding Anniversary

So I went with Anniversary.  The backing paper has been in my stash for ages. I used a piece of Groovi work and added the peel off for the sentiment.  Punched parchment flowers in the corner and a die cut using CE butterfly die.

I was asked to make a Wedding card for a couple in Scotland so I thought I would shoow you this one too.

I used my Groovi Heart plate and snipped out 3 hearts to add their names and date and under the centre one I added a square of tartan material.

Happy Sunday Challenge

 Good Morning All

My challenge the Craft Club on Friday  was another sketch.

Here is my card and the sketch to follow, you are all welcome to join in if you wish, i do give out a little gift to whoevers name is drawn next Friday at Craft club.

This is an A6 size Christmas card using an LOTV topper and Centura pearl card embossed using Johns Snowflake EF.

I have no idea where the silver and white ribbon came from.

The gifts I gave out were these lovely envelope  bags I made from Amazon packaging with a tube of Mentos in each one.  I decorated each one with my Junk Journal stuff and gems left over  from Chrystal art.  I fastened by punching two holes and threading ribbon through.

Last weeks challenge was a choice of a sketch or a Baby card.

AG with option use Stencil

 Good Morning All

Welcome to the Allsorts Challenge for with a theme  chosen by Brenda of

Anything Goes with an option of using a Stencil.

I am still playing with my Clarity Masks and loving them along with my Oxides.

I used the outer part of the mask to use as a stencil and inked through it with a contrasting colour, then stamped it randomly.   When I removed it I went around it with a fine tip pen.

I did get a couple of smudges, hence the gems left over from Crystal Art and I added alot more as I have loads left over.

I caught a show in Create & Craft the other day,  I dont watch much selling TV but like to watch John and Clarity.  -anyway Barbara was on C&C and as I was searching catchup I clicked on a show with Sandra Rushton doing zentangles.  So off i popped to You tube to catch up on some more of her work and here are a couple of tiles I have done.

I drew the heart free hand, hence a little mis shaped!!!

But still quite pleased with it.

This one is only part done but I think it will turn out nice.

They can become quite addictive.

Groovi Scraps

 Good Morning All

Most of the cards I make are square, so when I am using a sheet of parchment for Groovi, which are A4 size, I cut in half so I have two A5 sheets and I am left with a narrow strip after I have done my work.

Hence, I have alot of these bits left over so on this card I am trying to use some.  I have a plate with Butterflies and another with Bows, on so I use these to make embellishments and here is a Pink bow as the focal point.

I attached it to a smaller embossed square then onto  gridwork, all mounted onto Clarity designer paper then onto pink card.

I have not azdded a sentiment yet as I am not sure who it will be sent to.

Here are a couple of cards I made last week using I die I have had for quite  while that I bought from Clarity.

I used the same backing paper but different colour cardstock.  Quite quick to make once decided what card to use.

I think I prefer the black one.

I,m quite enjoying my card making again.

Do you find you have spells on different crafts?

I am still crocheting lots of hats and cowls for the homeless and baby hats too.

I have found a  lady that  know other ladies that help charities that need these items so she takes them all from me which is great.

For the craft club challenge I went with a sketch and a choice of Baby card this week.

This image and sentiment are some of the very first things I bought when I started making cards all those years ago!!!
