It is a place called Jalon, about one and half hours north from us

Groovi meets Pixie

Good Morning All

I love my Groovi, as you know, hope you're not getting too fed up with it!!!!!

I wanted to make some background papers to mat my parchment work onto.

I love adding it to  rainbow card or paper, it looks nice on a multi coloured background.

So I wanted to make my own.

Here are two different colours.

I think it looks ok too.

I made this one afew weeks ago and the paper is from a pad I bought from Joanna Sheen, so pretty.

Each page is different shades.

This was when I was clearing the bits from my scrap box.

The die cut was cut before John Next Door moved back to UK.

A quick, easy card to go in the box for the charity.

Groovi Twosome

Good Morning All

My friend Liz is popping over this morning to give Rico a trim, she is a dog groomer in Scotland so she is doing the honours for us today.

I much prefer him trimmed and tidy with short fur, it has grown so quickly since we had him trimmed in March and it will be better keeping it short in the heat here.

I,m still enjoying my Groovi and buying more plates to play with.

This is on I posted onto the Facebook group to ask which they preferred.

With or without the tiny flowers.

It was a mixed response so I left them on.

Good Morning All

It was lovely to get back to Craft Club on Friday.

But I will be missing again next week as we are going away for the weekend with afew friends.

The gifts I gave out to the girls were Tea light candles in a pretty box.

This is the challenge this time and it will run for 2 weeks again.
I gave the ladies a sheet from this decoupage pad I got free from Joanna Sheen plus a couple of wooden buttons.
 Do with them what they wish.
If anyone wants to play along just use a sweet / cute image and add 2 buttons.
Just abit of fun.

I made a Tag with one of the images from the sheet.

I decorated the inside of the card with another of the images.

And with the last piece I stuck it on the envelope.

Settled back home

Good Morning All

Been home for a couple of days and we got Rico back home on Wednesday and today is my Craft Club, Yehhhh.

Decided to tidy my craft room so  in total chaos and cannot craft at all.!!!!
I need to empty a unit John Next Door gave me to make room for a free standing fan for summer.
So I have to find space for all the stuff  in it!!!!
How do you all store your stamps?
Inks and blocks?

This is one I made.

Scrappy bow with seam binding and one of my smaller pins.

Left over piece of paper used on the inside.

Girls Birthday for MAWTT

Good Morning All

MAWTT challenge is Girls Birthday so I have made Hollies Birthday card, not until August but I always work well ahead.
I have made this style of card before.
It has 4 drawers in the base and is an easel card on the top.

She has owl curtains in her bedroom so

I added an owl charm too.

It is a standing joke that when I go over to see Hollie I always take some hair bands and clips.

So I made a couple of hair decorations from satin ribbon from Crafty Ribbons to put in one drawer and I shall buy some more bits to put in the others.

Groovi Sisters

Good Morning All

Well it is my last day today at Mums, flying home at teatime.

Always nice to be here but nice to go home too.

A couple of cards made for Sisters.

Pretty in pastel.

Quite apt these cards entitled Sister, as visiting my sister this morning who has dementia. 

So sad, she does not know us now.  Breaks my heart to see her like this, I just hope she is happy in her own little world.

I have made this style of card before and really enjoy doing it.

Great way to include a gift with a card.

The image and the sentiment are both recycled from Christmas cards.

I did splatters with white Gesso to, hopefully, look like snow.

Here is another one of the same style, again using a recycled Cristmas card.

A large heart button with seam binding threaded through.

A beautiful stick pin gifted to me in a swap.

Trimmed off with an MDF embellishment with lace.

Good morning All

It is my turn to host Allsorts Challenge this week and I chose Baby as the theme.

I used a set of stamps that came in a magazine.

Mounted it onto pink card and punched the corners with a heart.

Added some heart gems at the bottom.

Good Morning All

Crafty Friends Challenge  is my first post this morning.

The theme is Happy Birthday so it will be a busy one.

I colour this sweet image from our sponsor - Paper Nest Dolls.

I cut it out it out with a Maggie die from Creative Expressions.

Framed it with Peony die also from CE.

All matted onto Centura Pearl card embossed with Butterfly folder.

Grosgrain Heart ribbon from Crafty Ribbons and a little leaf gem in the corner.

In the Garden for Penny Black

Good Morning All

It is my turn to contribute to the Penny Black & more DT.

The theme is In the Garden.

I used the delightful Rose image from Penny Black.

Mounted onto LOTV paper which I cut with a Chloe flower die, added pearls to the centres.

This wonderful Grass ribbon from Crafty Ribbons.
