About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Mums Birthday

Good Morning All
I wasn't going to post this morning but I wanted to show you this card I made for Mums Birthday which was on Tuesday, she is 91 this year.

I love these Perfect Peony dies from Creative Expressions and want to get the stamps that go with them, that
John (Next Door) was demoing afew weeks ago on Hochanda, they will have to wait until I go over in December.
This is my messy desk while making the card, craft space gets smaller and smaller !!!!

My friend Val attends my craft meet and her daughter crafts too.  Lynn taught herself to knit last year and has been busy  making hats and scarves to sell in her shop.
This is her display, dont they look gorgeous.
She did not mind me putting the pic on here.

Morning Wendy, beautiful card, love the dark flowers to contrast with the pale blue. Also well done to Lynn, not only for teaching herself to knit but also for having the confidence to sell her knitted items. Hope it is a success. Janice xxx http://createdbyjan.blogspot.com

Hi Wendy,
what a lovely card for your Mum's Birthday.
Wonderfully designed, and those flowers, and the weaving is superb.
Happy Birthday to your Mum for Tuesday.
Wonderful knits by you friend, and I am sure they will go like hot cakes in her shop.
This is funny as I have done a weaving on a 100th Birthday card for a lady living near us, just haven't had time to post it yet, as challenges seem to keep me busy, as well as minding my Grand Children, and Great Grand Children,
but I wouldn't have it any other way, as I love to look after them as my mother used to do the same for me.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Hi Wendy
Terrific card for your Mum. Love the florals.
I too was going to mention the Sapphire.
That's some great knits but does it get cold enough for woolies in your cuello de los bosques?
