About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Window card

Good Morning All
I made this card ages ago, it was for a DT but the Challenge blog finished before this challenge was released.

The original challenge was to use Peeloffs, now I know many of you hate them, it was a standing joke between John Next Door and I. (he hates them with a vengeance).  I still have a shoe box full and cannot throw them out and do still use them on many cards.
So you can see, this one used quite alot.

I created an aperture and lined with acetate to create a window effect and put peeloffs on the front.
A decoupage image of gifts inside and more peeloffs to frame it.

Wow Wendy, what a clever use of peel offs. I love it. Like you I have loads which never see the light of day, but this brings a whole new meaning to them. I will certainly be doing something similar in the future i'm sure, if only to use some of them up. I can't bear the thought of just dumping them! Your card looks great. Hugs Christine. x

Hi Wendy, I too have loads of peel offs, I hardly use them now but they do have their place in the crafting world, as your card clearly shows. Lovely card. Janice xxx http://createdbyjan.blogspot.com

Good morning Wendy,
Love your card, great use of Peels Offs.
Have to say I also "hate" them. I took what I had to the "workshop" the ladies in my class love using them.
They do have a use at times, your card shows this. You would never have got that effect without them.
Have a good day

Hi Wendy
Im not a peel off fan but they are a great addition to this card. Love how you've used them across the acetate.
Best wishes.
