About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Colour showcase for Crafty Ribbons

 Good Morning All

Crafty Ribbons Facebook  are having a Showcase week of COLOUR

I was asked to step in today as my post is for tomorrow.

So I made a Christmas card using an LOTV Topper

I used CE New Zealand Wellington Die ontop of the CE Snowflake Mosaic Emboss Folder.

I made some of the little tags with a Lobster clip and attached to ribbon.

I used some Sentiment ribbon from a massive selection in the Crafty Ribbon Store.

I added a JND Poinsettia using my Scrunchy technique and I have a You Tube tutorial on this.

Thanks for the visit.

I made loads of these last week in preparation for my You Tube video

I use the smaller ones on Tags like this.

I made some of the tiny tags on the left, from paper in stash and attached to ribbon with a lobster clasp.

Ribbon from Crafty Ribbons

I have loads ready now to add to cards and tags

More like this to follow this week.

I Love ................ for Allsorts & Belated Birthday

Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge time again and as we had our Birthday during lockdown Brenda thought it wise to delay our Birthday celebrations until a more suitable time.
Brenda has a wonderful prize of an Arteza Pen set
Plus there will be more on some of the DT's blogs too.

The theme is I Love........
Well where do I start.
I Love crafting
I Love Lace
I Love Junk Journals
I Love Notebooks
I just love making stuff.
I made this Notebook using pretty papers and lacy doilies and lots of pretty stuff.
This is the front using JND Poinsettias and Gerbera flowers.

The back

Inside and the cute dress paperclip is a tutorial by Gi Kerr.

We have a new sponsor joining us, Pinksy Doodles,  and she sent us some lovely digi papers to work with.

Here is a card I made using two of them.
I used a circle paper punch to make the sort of windmill and now I am wondering if it needs a gem in the centre????
The lovely spotty ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons and I found this strange button in my button box.
It had long gaps instead of holes so I threaded some of the ribbon through it and added it to hide a smudge on my homemade sentiment.
A fairly CAS card but I quite like it.

I hope you will join us in our Birthday celebrations and visit the other design team members too to see prizes on offer.
I will give a prize ---- This  folio which is quite large, more like a lapbook
Plus I shall add some homemade embellishments too which I shall add into the parcel.

I will draw a winner next Saturday  on My Allsorts post .

AG for Crafty Ribbons

 Good Morning All

Wow the weather has changed here in Spain over the last week or two, from the 1st actually.

The day time is still hot but in the mornings it is very Autumnal, usually I dont think September is too much cooler than August.

Here are a couple of pics I took on Sunday morning while walking Rico, very sureal.

The bands of mist going round the mountain behind where we live.

Although last year we did have the Gota Fria on Sept 12th.  WOW what a day that was.

*********************

Anyway, onto my card for today.

Crafty Ribbons challenge over on Facebook is Anything Goes.

At my Craft club each Friday I have a raffle.

Well now as well as a prize of craft goodies, I buy two vouchers from the shop, just 5 euros each, and I put them in a little homemade envelope like these.

This is a great way of using all your smaller lengths of ribbon and I decorate with homemade flowers.

A good way of giving the shop more business too.

Dangles & Paperclips for Junk Journals

Good Morning All

I have been showing the ladies at my Craft Club how to put together Junk Journals and they are loving it.

I get as much pleasure from making embellishments as making the journals.

So I have been making Dangles and Paperclips  to show them and for them to use too.

These are Shabby Chic paperclips with a bulb pin on the side to add a tassle.

I used the Grateful one in my Owl Folio shown on my new You Tube Video

A great way of using bits & bobs too.

These are some dangles made from scraps of material and attached to a bulb pin so they can be pinned to a page or tag.
Gi Kerr has a great tutorial for making these HERE

I would love you to subscribe to my You Tube Channel and hope to do more videos soon.

Challenge a Sketch

 Good Morning All

My card for my Sketch challenge at Craft Club.

Here is the sketch

Last week at Craft club we were making Junk Journals with some of the ladies so I challenged those ladies to sew a signature in at home so here they are.

Eve, MAggie and Claire did a great job and next week they are going to decorate inside the pages.

And for the other ladies the challenge was to make a card using more than one circle.
