Good Afternoon All
Getting excited now as Hollie day. I adore this pic of her, I am going to have it made into a canvas for my wall. She looks like she is going to be dark haired like her Mum.
Todays card is a Kenny K image.
Coloured with my Promarkers and Spectrum Noirs. Waste pieces of ribbon, a negative die cut, I used the same dark paper to make the corners as I used behind the image and black gems.
See you tomorrow.

Passion for Promarkers - Happy Mega Christmas challenge
I hope you enjoy your visit to my blog, mainly card making but I now have six Grand children, five girls and a boy. As I love these kids so much I can't help showing an odd picture of them now and again. I really need to get into Scrapbooking too, loads of pics to use. I do some knitting and crocheting too. I also have a page on Facebook - Wendy's Crafty Crafts where I have a fun challenge most weeks.

About Me

- Alicante, Spain
- Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Acetate Card
Good Afternoon All
I am so annoyed with myself, I went to Aldi this morning to get a couple of bottles of tipple for my Mum for Christmas, then getting them out of the boot I dropped both of them!!! The whiskey smashed but the Baileys didn,t but I still did not want to chance putting it in my suitcase just incase it was fractured in any way, so I had to toddle off and buy another two. So much for buying them here to save money. Mum is 88 and she enjoys a little tipple of an evening.
We had a lovely Christmas lunch yesterday for our Spanish class and tonight we are going out for an Indian with Dave, Marlene and Robert (neighbours). Daves wife, Susie, has gone to UK this morning for cuddles with her Grand daughter so we said we would take Dave out.
Anyway, onto my card for today, I saw this style demonstrated on Create and Craft this week.
I think it shows up abit better against black
It is a twisted easel style and the card is made from acetate. I have used Forever Friends decoupage on the easel and FF paper on the base. Very simple and no embellishments. I think it looks like the decoupage is floating.xxxxx

Up For Grabs
Good Morning All
A quickie this morning as I go to my fat club at 11.30 and then it is Christmas Lunch for our Spanish class.
Last night I had a call from Linda (Animal Aid) and she said she had 3 bags of goodies that she had been given and didn,t think she would be able to sell, and did I want it? So I said I would be able to use it one way or another. WOW WOW WOW It is all Christmas stuff which I know is abit late now but for the future. There is quite abit of papers and card but lots and lots and lots of decoupage, and I mean lots. I will never get through it so if anyone still like doing decoupage it is up for grabs.
There is some lovely foiled vellums sheets and dark coloured card that could both be used as backing layers, then there is loads of decòupage sheets and most of them are foiled edges too, then there are some packs that include the card and decoupage together. She said a German lady gave them to her and they are German or Dutch,(judging by the make of them). SO if anyone wants any please let me know and I will gladly post some out (Gosh my post bill is going to be enormous when I get to UK) but I would rather they went where they will be used than all just stay in my spare room because there is so much. I think I should start a decoupage class next September and supply all the ladies, that would be fun wouldn,t it?

Anyone else that emails me I will get round to posting some if there is any left but I am still crocheting (I am hooked (excuse the pun) at the moment) so will get as many out as I can.

Wow Look what I won
24 SEASONS Promarkers in a lovely case.
No excuse now to do some more colouring.
I have chosen a lovely card to show you today that I have made to give one of my neighbours.
I have used Spellbinders Snowflake diecuts, blue satin ribbon and organza spotty white ribbon, blue gems, dot embossed card and a Forever Friends sentiment. I chalked the edges of the snowflakes.

I have eventually persuaded John, who lives next door but one actually (he did used to live next door) to start a blog. I have mentioned him afew times on here as we enjoy going to our local craft shop for a browse and we encourage each other and do abit of swapping of craft stuff. He is very talented at both craft and cooking - we get some yummy goodies at Christmas time like homemade fudge (Baileys flavour), mince pies and shortbread biccies. YUM YUM. Anyway, his blog is here so hop over and have a peep and leave him a comment, as we all know, it boosts our ego when we get afew comments and followers.
Counting the days now until Hollie day - 7 days now!!!!

Holiday Cheer
Good Morning All
Monday morning means it's Love to Create Challenge time and the theme is Holiday Cheer sponsored by Bugaboo.
BUGABOO --> Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: A Short Essay As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week! If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps stamps at Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug.
and it features one of my crochet flowers, Spellbinders die cut snowflakes, embossed dotty card for background, gems and a button with twine. The silvery blue paper under the flower is some I have had in my stash for ????????????? years, I am determined to use as much older stuff as possible.
Have a look at the challenge blog as there are more DT members and all the designs are amazing, and we have fun hopping over to your blogs to see what you have created.

One Year Gone
Good Afternoon All
I did not realise but on 21st November just gone, I had been doing my blog for one year, I cant believe it, it has flown by. I only realised it because I have downloaded Picasa 3 and am having trouble getting to grips with it. I believe it is better using Picasa for loading pics onto my blog as they are smaller. The trouble is, I have taken into Picasa all my pictures from my folders on my laptop and they all seem to be jumbled up. On my laptop, I have them all organised in folders eg.-- Hollie pics in one folder by month, digis in another folder by designer etc etc, but in Pacasa it seems to have mixed them all and I can create an album, but I want to put folders into that album but I can only find how to take the pictures in the album and then they are all together, not sorted by name or month. If anyone can help me please leave a comment with email or landline number and I will get in touch at an arranged time (I get free landline calls from here). I have been on Youtube and learnt afew things but not how to put a folder into an album, stay as a folder, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, onto crafting.
At the fayre last week I sold quite afew female birthday cards so I am replenishing my stock. This is a nice, simple twisted easel card using quilled shapes to make flowers.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, I am at doctors tomorrow for some tests as I have a trapped nerve in my back and they want to check other things too. Also I have to see the physio in the afternoon too and I am having my hair cut in between these two appointments so it,s a busy day for me!!

Recycling to its limit
Good Afternoon All
A quick card today using quilled flowers made from waste paper, a recycled Christmas card, a homemade pin using beads from a charity shop, a negative die cut, all put on a 6 x 6 card made from some card that Linda (Animal Aid) gave me last week. So all in all, this card only cost me the envelope and the ribbon (Joanna Sheen)
