Re-use Birthday cards

Good Morning All
Getting so hot here now, we have even discussed about moving the bed so that it is directly under the ceiling fan.  Yesterday was 30º at 11am, definitely pool time, I did have my first dip of the year last week.

I wanted to show you these two cards I have recycled from my gorgeous Birthday cards HERE that Lyn and Val gave to me.
When anyone gives me  a handmade card I cannot throw out so I have to rehash it into a card for the charities.

This is the one Lyn gave me, so gorgeous.
She had printed a sentiment personal to me so I removed that and cut a X Cut doily to replace it with.  I think the die Lyn has used is a Tonic.  I found some peach coloured card in my stash, very similar in colour to what Lyn has used, to mount the doily on.  I re stuck the butterfly to act as the stopper for the easel and voila, a gorgeous card to raise some money for the charity !!!

This is one Val gave me, I just took the lacey top off and re-mounted onto white card and that was it.
Added a ribbon and pin, so beautiful.
I have two very talented friends.

  1. Morning Wendy, a great idea to recycle your birthday cards. I tend to keep the best of my homemade cards, but recycle the rest. A bit overcast here in Kent this morning, although it has been sunny, we have a cold wind which makes it chilly in the shade. Enjoy your dip in the pool....I'm very envious. 4. Great way of up-cycling I'll do it with shop bought given cards (not many of my friends have given me handmade ones and I keep those) but they're never as pretty as these
