Quilled Pastels

Good Morning All
Flight booked to go home on Thursday as Mum is feeling abit more confident now and we got her a riser/recliner chair on Friday so it is a lot easier for her to keep her leg elevated as per Doctors orders.  And it pushes her up to help her stand  and it reclines a little so she can sleep abit in it.  She gets into bed on her own now, with the help of a sturdy step stool I got her but gets up part way through the night as she is getting pain in her back!!!  So she gets in the chair and doses there until morning.  She has one of those alarm things that she has round her neck, so if she does fall she can press it  and my sister is called.  I have to be back before Saturday as Johns Mum and Daughter are arriving for half term.
                                                    ******************************

I,m 99% sure that the image used on this card is from Astrids Artistic Efforts HERE, she has some gorgeous free images on her blog..  I made the quilled flowers with two shades of paper, lemon and pink.  Not sure which the leaf die is as I bought a  pack of mixed ones.  I added a bead pin and some pearls and ribbon.

This is what I,m missing.

This is Hollie feeding herself with yoghurt.

Isn't it fun when they start feeding themselves?  NOT

Now in this one she had been exploring a tub of Sudocrem Nappy Cream!!!!!!!  Probably copying Mum when she does her beauty treatment.!!!!!  But I think she is gorgeous enough, she doesn't need any beauty aids.

Noah is coming for tea with his Mum and Dad tomorrow so there will be pics of him on Tuesday.

  4. Hi Wendy, such a pretty image and a lovely card! The quilled flowers are adorable - as are the pictures of Hollie!!!

Seems like only yesterday my daughter was doing similar things - she's all grown up at 6 1/2 now (or so she tells me anyway!!) and doesn't do that sort of thing.

Sorry to hear your mum has been through a lot just lately - hope she continues to improve.

  11. Hi Wendy. Love the pretty card, the flowers are sweet. Love the pics. Hollie is growing so fast. We all have memories of similar times don't we. We used to joke that we wished we had a wet room that we could put the baby in and hose them down along with the highchair : ) Glad that your Mum is slowly getting better. Take care.

  14. Beautiful card hunni!!

I love it when kids are little as they do the most funniest things at feed time with their food, one of mine ended up orange because of bolognese!! Lol

Yep then theres the Sudocream stage...i am almost sure that all kids go through this stage because all 4 boys if mine have done it too but one went to the extreme and painted his whole body with it and what a pain it is to get off too...yep the water and shower gel just runs straight of em!! Good old washing up liquid works thou, thank goodness!! Lol

    hugs and xxx
