Boxes of ........

Good Morning All

I have been making quite afew of these boxes (see tutorial here) on Card Making Magic, and I will keep them in reserve to use as gifts.  They can be filled with all sorts of things - cotton wool,   potpourri,  sweets,   chocolates,   (see yesterdays post).

These were made with one sided paper so I had to hide the white bits with something.  I bought a great big bag of assorted buttons when I was in the UK and I decided to use them to decorate this one, along with some homemade flowers using Cheery Lynn 'Roses' die.

I used one sided paper again but cut  pieces to fit on the white bits that contrasted with the shades of beige.
I decorated with crochet flowers and pearls, Marianne die cut flowers with quilled ones in the centres, inked on the edges. Lace around the top and a doily cut into four pieces and inked on the edges and stuck under the edge.
The corners n this are a new die I bought -
Lea,bilities  45.8558.

Doilies again on this one, lots of quilled flowers (I make these from off cuts of plain white paper, just a half inch strip) and peeloff/acetate  butterflies.
Crochet butterflies and flowers on the sides.

I hope this inspires you to have a go at making these, they are a great way of using loads of bits of stash that you may have around your desk, as I have.
The gold foil butterflies are punched from Duflex bits left from a diecut sheet that has been on my desk for months, I try not to waste anything!!!

I hope you like them.
