A Kaleidoscope of Butterflies

Good Morning All
I made these cards before I went to Seville on my Birthday actually (27th May).

It was the day of the cup final and I had had a bit of a bad week, depression.  Probably started off with Manchester then some family problems, anyway, I felt happier after spending the afternoon in my craft room.
As you know I love making embellishments and I have loads and loads of these butterflies in a multitude of colours.
I always put a pack of them in the raffle prize at my craft club, I bet the ladies are sick of them !!!!

Anyway, onto the cards.
It started with this one, I did the parchment at my craft class on Friday, the day before my birthday.
I added a homemade gem to the centre but it had an error at the bottom so added a butterfly.

Then this one using Sue Wilson 'Cascading Butterfly ' die.
And I added one of my little butterflies to the centres of each of these.

I had a sheet of glittered, die cut squares  in my stash for  years, perfect for what I had in mind.

6 x 6 card blanks.
These two, I added coloured paper behind the cut out squares,
then a butterfly in each square except the centre, where I added a sentiment.

5 x 5 card blanks.
These two are smaller squares so put them on diagonally.
Same technique as the previous ones.

And finally.
4 x 6 card blank, Phill Martin paper

5 x 7 card blank
No sentiment.

So that is my Kaleidoscope of Butterflies.

  1. Wow Wendy, your post really is a kaleidoscope of Butterflies, all so beautiful and each card so different.

The events of Manchester and now London really are dreadful, really makes you wonder what gets into the heads of the terrorists and what makes them tick.

I do hope you are feeling brighter today.
