Post Pal for ill Children

Good Morning All

Here is a couple of cards I made yesterday for the Post Pal scheme, (link in sidebar).
When I went onto their site and read some of the stories about these kids I really wanted to do something to put a tiny smile on theirs faces.

I tried to make them 'Fun' cards.

They are quick, easy cards that I would not send to an adult but great for kids.

I have added some circles and eyes so that they could make a caterpillar if they wanted to for themselves.

I am going to send some bits with each card I send.
I found these cards on the net and printed them off, thought they would give them something to do, colour in or write on the backs of the tags.
I included some ribbon too.

I have a box of Paper Mania shapes too that I thought I could send some with each card.

I have loads of stuff I never use but never threw out and if it gives these kids abit of pleasure that's fine by me.
The site gives you ideas of what the kids like and if they have siblings, because it is nice to send them cards too.
I am going to make some small Quiet books, (like this only smaller)  for the younger ones and Junk Journals (like this one but not as fancy) too, for the older ones.
It is  a great way of giving me a purpose to make stuff that I enjoy making. and really, all it costs me is the postage.
I am sending 8 cards off today, each of the 4 I picked have a sibling so I sent them one too.
I will be making alot more.
Please click on the link in my sidebar and have a look.
Some of the kids who have a certain type of leukaemia, have to have chemo for  two and a half to three years !!!!
My sister is so lucky with the type she has, you really would not know there was anything wrong with her.
She has to take a tablet each day and feels fine.
