Tidying and Emptying

Good Morning All
Thank you so much for joining me today, hope you are all well.

As I mentioned last week I have been clearing my scrap box so here is afew pics of cards made with it all.
There is  card here that a friend may recognise, as when I am given a homemade card I cannot throw it but I will recycle it if I can.
My, now nearly empty, scrap box.

Here are afew of the cards I made.

This one is  John Next Doors Daffodil stamp and one of his sentiment stamps.
I coloured this with Mica paints, but you cant see the shine on the pics.

The one below is the last bits of a Hunky Dory kit and my new Sue Wilson Butterfly dies.

The last bits from a Dufex decoupage sheet.

The next one is trying my masking  again with texture paste.
I love this technique.
The strip must have come from craft meeting as it is not one of mine.
Perfect Peony flower again.

I thought this one would make a good 'Good Luck' card.

And finally, the two below are the same, except one used Iced Snow and one Diamond Snow.
Again, one of Johns striplet stamps coloured with Mica paints.

Also, after watching You Tube I decided to try and organise my card and papers abit better.
so I went to the China store and bought some A4 storage stands.
I labelled them too.

They were stood as they are meant to be but as the shelf above did not allow me to get card out very easily from the toop, I decided to lay them on their backs.

And I bought plastic wallets for all the pieces that are smaller than A4 and inside the wallet I put an envelope to put all my die cut labels that I cut out all the time from odd pieces too.

So now I just have to swivel round on my chair and choose the correct coloured wallet, and slide it out, instead of having to stand up and pul the stand out to get the wallet or card out.

As I couldn't buy all the wallets in the correct colour to correspond to my card I used clear ones too.

  7. Hi Wendy, great ideas for storage, and I would never have thought to have to a folder for the cut outs, and colour code them. The A4 storage stand, thanks for the inspiration. My husband did a big reorganisation of my crafty things,a few weeks ago,all into larg plastic boxes. The male mind does not work very for crafting lol and now I do not know where anything is.I have not made much in the line of cards etc.,for a long time,I was blind in my left eye,and reading was impossible, thus I could not comment on anyone's blog,I was strong enough to have the surgery done a few weeks ago,and I am over the moon, that it is a 100% successful,I am having the left eye done in March.
Your cards are beautiful,John is doing so well in his new job,and life.
How are you?? I would to see some photos of your grandchildren, E.Mail. Itaobok@gmail.com.
I have to try and finger our how to use my blog again.
    Regards
    Ita.

  12. Great cards from your scrap bits I do keep scraps of card in colours (well sort of!) but my box of die cuts seems to grow and grow - there never seems to be one in the right colour I really must sort my storage out
