More Parchment

Good Morning All

My, it is still so hot here, infact it feels hotter this week and so I am not getting much crafting done as too hot to move from the fan in the living room!!!!!

So I have pulled some parchment cards from my picture files.

You will have to excuse the reflection off the cello bag.

These are two similar cards, one Tulips and one Poppies.  They were drawn with the fine tip Promarker pen and coloured with felt tip pens.

I enjoyed doing the as there is alot of pricking.

Lilacs

Good morning all

It is 5.30am cant sleep, been playing Candy Crush, run out of lives, so thought I would do a post on here.

I could not load my pic from my tablet so only posted now,  LOL

I was asked to make this by a lady in Guadamar.  I cut some pearlised Lilac paper with a Fiskars edge punch and placed it to make it look like an envelope, then decorated with flowers (a must for me), my crochet flower and bead  pins (both for sale at top) Zva Creative gem swirls

No White

Good Morning All

Yehee, Rick & Lorien have booked their flights, three and a half weeks until I see them and Hollie of course, so excited, feel like a kid waiting for Christmas.

Hobbycutz time again and this one has been set by Angie, Mrs Duck.  She does NOT want to see any white on your creations.

I coloured this little cutie from the Sponsor Kenny K and the only white is the white of his eyes!!!

I cut round the image and stuck onto a piece of OH beer carton brown card, scraps from card box for the rest and afew dark gems.  For a 'man' card I cant add too much in the way of embellishments!!!

Bunny Zoes Challenge - Summer Colours

First Colouring

Good Morning All

I thought I would post these two cards today.  They have been sitting in my photo file for a long time.  They were two of the first images I coloured with Promarkers, trying to get my shading right.

I think I may have progressed abit, but I have to admit that colouring is not one of my preferred crafts now,  I did quite enjoy it when I first started but I get frustrated with it now, I dont think it ever looks too good, compared to some that we see on blogs.

I, obviously, still do some for DT commitments, but I prefer to use pre-coloured images if I can.  Is that lazy?

Anyway, these are two simple cards, fairly CAS I think. It is a Forever Friends stamp.

Back to making more bead pins today, too hot to sit in my craft room so I will stay in the lounge with air-con.

Just had a Skype with Hollie, Mum has taught her a couple of Spanish words - Hola and Adios so cute.

I,m hoping they will be able to get over here soon.

LOTV Topper

Good Morning All

On this card I used an LOTV topper, I love these, great for making quick cards.

This is just one of many I make to go in the box for the charities I supply.

I got my box of Christmas stuff out last week, so I am trying to use all the bits up from last year, decoupage I have already cut out and bits for toppers etc. 

I want to get all mine made for my family next then it leaves me free to make for charity.

Although it is still very hot here, I spend time in the afternoons in my craftroom, once the sun has moved around the side of the house.  Although I am still knitting and crocheting when I sit outside.  I,m finishing off a pink crochet blanket that I started a good while ago.  We dont know yet what Megan is having, scn is imminent I think.

Stencil or Mask It

Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge this week has been set by Helene and she would like to see you use a Stencil or a Mask.

I have used a lovely image from Passion for Stamps coloured with Promarkers.

A5 size card base, matted and layered with green card and paper from stash.

I used this brass stencil and stippled the flowers through it with green ink pad, then pricked all the holes.

I dont think it looks too bad, what do you think?

Good Morning All

It is Moving Along With The Times Challenge time again and the theme this week, has been chosen by our boss lady, Hazel.

VINTAGE

I love looking at 'Vintage' cards but I do struggle.  Anyway, I was given a load of stash by John Next Door and this image was in a box, there were quite afew, cards penny farthings, clocks etc.

I distressed some Coredinations card for the first layer then tore some paper for the next one.  Added some homemade sentiment tags and a charm that has got abit tarnished so I thought that would look good.

I don't do alot of parchment now but when I look at it I tell myself to do more, it looks so pretty.

This just has a little colour on the flowers.  It always looks better matted onto a dark card.

Fancy Folds

Good Morning All

I hope all is well in your part of the world.
I,m getting homesick for my little grand children, I miss them so much, this is the down side of living here.
Thanks goodness for Skype. Rickys house move went well and I had a tour via Skype yesterday morning and Hollie modelled her new cardigan for me and she looked so sweet.

Todays challenge at Hobbycutz is set by Craftin' Suzie and she wants to see 'fancy folds'

I was browsing around on Pinterest and came across this style which I thought looked good and HERE is the blog with the template from Clairebear.

I have used all bits and bobs from my stash - buttons, charms, string/twine, stamped sentiment tags and paper.  Lovely paper with all Latin words on.  Mustard card is 12 x 12 card pad bought from TKMax last year when I was in UK.  Bead pins (for sale at top of my blog).





This gorgeous bird in cage is one of Hobbycutz Laser cuts.

I chose to use this Digi from Digistamps

I used 'My Minds Eye' paper and cut a mat using Spellbinders BellyBand.

Decorated up with my Bead pins (For Sale at Top of page), ribbon and Zva Creative flourishes on corners.

As there was some paper left from the 12 x 12 sheet I used it for the inside and cut some flowers using a Martha Stewart punch

I am suffering abit in the heat, getting up to 40 degrees and humid this week, combined with sweats (change of life) too, not a good combination.

I have been knitting for my grand children. 

I wasn't sure what size Noah is so I knitted a larger size and I think it will fit him this coming winter.

Believe it or not but this is navy blue, it looks like a sky blue in the picture.  It is a little jerkin for this gorgeous fella.

 I have started knitting for the new baby now but it is not good for my joints in my fingers.

Just had his bath and getting ready to go out for tea with Mum and Dad.

And here he is all, all dressed up and ready to go.

And this is a cardigan I have knitted for Hollie.

I will post it over to her when I get their address later.

They have moved into their first house this week end just gone.

Well it was a toss up between butterflies and flowers !!!!! I wanted to use this paper so butterflies won.

Good Morning All
